Listening to the conversation here has made me realize that I’ve been holding myself back due to fear and feeling as though I don’t have all the resources I need to get started with the business ideas I have and want to bring to life. I’m no longer going to keep standing in my own way of all the things I could/should’ve been doing this whole time. I’m not going to keep punching someone else clock when I can be creating my own flexible schedule. My time is now 🙏🏾🙌🏾
Exactly Sha, If you gonna be stressed working for someone else you might as well be stressed working for yourself cause at least it would be worth it. Go after them dreams!
The last 3 months of 2023 and this first half of 2024 has been SO difficult in a lot of aspects but through it all I’ve set all my burdens to god, not where I want/need to be yet but I’ve been set on the path. Definitely needed this message, love the transparency 🤝🏾🤌🏾

I needed to hear this to help improve and continue the journey that I've been on with my art. Between building the brand/business and balancing everyday struggles it can reach a point of fatigue whether it be mental, physical, or financial. It really helps to readjust perspective listening to y'all please continue to upload.

Damn, why do we avoid change so much when nothing in life is stagnant? Is failure what I’m running from? Why is it so easy to forget what we’ve overcome?
Because most of the time we only look at the past and what hurt us and not what aided us. Instead of using our energy to worry and fear, we should use our energy to heal, forgive, pray, proceed, create, and overcome. So next time you doubt yourself or overwhelmed remember the last time you found a way overcame an obstacle and use it as confidence to do it again. 👍🏾👌🏾🙏🏾

Thank you for sharing this whole experience with us. I'm 32 and this has been one of the most transitional seasons thus far. It can be difficult to navigate so I appreciate these conversations. I'm excited for where this next season takes you guys.

I haven't finished yet, but as yall were talking about how you arrived at being a creative agency.. it makes so much sense. The most logical evolution from being one of the original TH-cam content creators to having a space where companies can take advantage of your 15 years of expertise in short form scripted humor. I'm praying that you get that SuperBowl spot, and I will shed a tear as someone whose been with you all since yall were hitting Chaz with pillows in Atlanta.

One thing I can say is, I am proud of y’all. It is great to see people like y'all transitioning, always progressing, evolving into new better spaces, places in life. I’ve been a fan of Dormtainment since 2011. Watching y’all grow, even though a lot of y’all have separated, but still maintaining the brand and doing new things. I was surprised when you said Seattle I was hoping y’all would move back to East Coast maybe somewhere near DC area (DMV) or maybe Philly or New York but I guess Seattle seems more promising to the market of the type of business yall are moving into. I hope, pray, wish for a prosperous future for y’all and may the continuous, evolving progressive journey begin. 🧘🏾♂️🌴🌙

2023 - June 2024 have been the worst financial year of my life it made me doubt a lot of things and became very angry and upset and trying to figure out why I even exist, but the last couple of months have really made me trust god even more with the help of bring my confidence back and hoping/praying these days will end and also being ready to take a life risk when the opportunity comes

Now that i finished watching, I want to finish my last post by saying this is wonderful about how you went a little in depth about your upcoming transition from LA to Seattle. I'm someone who is just like a lot , afraid of the unknown... I spent four years at a dead end job because I was just 'content' until I had enough to finally break open the chains and make the leap, finally landing a government gig. You all also talked about how things happen for a reason, and I look back on this past year I've been here and if I tried to make the leap earlier, or later... I wouldn't have gotten this job, and in more particular gotten a chance encounter with my now former boss who is no longer at this job who taught me everything I know about this particular field and given me a promotion that forever changed my career trajectory. A year from now, I'm possibly looking at making ANOTHER transition because of that, possibly working outside the country for more money. None of this would've happened if I hadn't made that initial transition... at the time that I did.
First off, congrats on the new gig and make sure you take this lesson in the next situation to give you the confidence to move forward 🙏🏾
