I never had a problem with my frizz because I thought it was just a part of the journey, but now Im over a year in and its still frizzy. I still dont really mind how it looks to others, but I thought it was just because maybe I wasnt taking care of it properly which is why I sought this video out. Because I do see a lot of people with locs and theirs always look more solid and formed. Like even here her locs look more solid than mine do. So that was my thought process.
I use to hate it to the point I wanted to comb out my locs.. I am 10 months loc’d as of the 11th of the month and I still have frizz.. I’ve learned to embrace it❤❤
I am 10 months in this loc journey and the frizz is frizzing. I don’t like it at all. I was thinking about combing them out but came across this video. You make perfect sense. Thank you for the explanation. I’m going to hold out and give them a chance. I just want them tames more. I’m going to ask my loctian about grooming them.
I just started my locs in December 2022 and my hair is gray I don't love the frizzy but thank you for the support so I can learn to love the frizzy 1yes I still have frizzy
16 months - 1; and I hope it stays frizzy forever. I don’t groom either. I only interlock the root because I love the frizz. I don’t have clean parts either; my reties look like they are already 2/3 week old reties. I do a retie anytime between 3-5months depending on how I wear it. I consider mine semi free form microlocs.
Thank you for this video I only had mines 9 months - 1 frizzy just wondering about this situation first time loc”d my hair was curly before locs 👍🏼 thanks I just wanted some info thank you 😊
I am 15 months loc’ed and a 1. I totally don’t mind frizz. I have a question for you. I want my locs to be more on the soft fluffy 15:08 side rather than hard and compact. after a retwist I would have my loctition put my locs in cornrows which correct me if I’m wrong, I think contributed to compacting my hair. I now want to remove the gel. Even though it’s lightly used during my retwist. My plan is to remove the gel and use only a light moisturizer and oil. What do you think of just retwisting at the root and leaving the loose hairs along the shaft alone or maybe loosely wrapping the hairs along the shaft? Would love to hear your thoughts or anyone else who has experience or an answer to my question. Thanks in advance!
My hair never really frizzed or puff up as much as other people’s. My sisters hair if so full and fluffy and for a while mine wasn’t. I LOVEEE the froze but unfortunately my hair doesn’t do that much. It has thicken up over time and my hair is pretty dense but yeah at 1 year I expected it to puff up at the ends but only my new growth thickens up and has slight frizz
Hi im 2 weeks in and the frizz is starting to get wild 😀😁 i have accepted that its gonna be like this for a while but i wonder when its the time for getting help with someone with a crochet hook? 😊
16 months locked naturally-2. I love my frizz. I used to use a little gel when retwisting and now i wet my hair and wrap the loose strands around the shaft of my locs instead. I have eczema and feel it affects my hair too so i do lightly condition with a leave in conditioner and castor oil hair food. They are compact and would like my locs to be fluffy. Can i change the to fluffy, if so how?
💚💚👍🏾Thank you for giving a new perspective on the benefits of frizzy locs.

do you interlock? Cause I was having the SAME issue when I started interlocking. But I know people with really curly (not kinky) hair also get bumbs.
