Another great tip to prevent/help with frizz is rolling your hair. After I wash my hair I use perm rods to set my hair. That makes a big difference!! Also, when I’m in between retightening, you can’t see my new growth with the curls.
I have to learn to accept the fact that the nature of locs is to be frizzy. Typically I HATE frizz but since I also want locs I guess I must accept some frizz so I'm working on it lol. I do braid and band before washing, gently blot and squeeze my hair after and I wear a satin scarf at night. Thanks for all the great tips.
Been doing the tshirt drying for the past 15 years. Towels and my hair have never got along. 😂 As for the frizz, I embrace it. Let my locs do what they want to do.
I had traditional locs, with instant locs and I felt bad for a while because I didn't go through the "ugly" stage! I ended up cutting them. I want to do microlocs currently so I'm researching and trying to decide what size I want and when to install as I'm doing it for myself! I like frizz though, locs are supposed to be frizzy! js
Great tips, I definitely am trying to prevent frizzy locs as much as I can. Thank you so much for these tips they truly will help. Also I wanna try Naetoriouslocs products too. I have a friend who has loc's and she swears by their products and her loc's look great.
I had been off of my mimosa game for awhile since brunch was dead this year but you mentioned them in a comment to me recently so my husband and I cooked on Thanksgiving while enjoying some mimosas and it was glorious haha. Speaking of pineapple ones, a local restaurant does brunch flights with a traditional mimosa, mango, pineapple, and a peach bellini - I miss them and it's 🔥! Anyway!!! 🥴 Great video and excellent tips. Lately I have been guilty of undoing my braids before my hair is fully dry because I don't love the crinkled look on my baby locs. But now that you mention the loc integrity thing, I'll be leaving them in longer, oops. Thank you!!
Drinking mimosas while cooking Thanksgiving dinner is a tradition my mom and I do every year. This is the first year we have not done it since I've been an adult, because of the Covid =( . I am glad you and your husband kicked it while cooking together though lol! That sounds like so much fun. Thank you for the comment Sis =) !!!
@@Niaimani92 awww I completely understand about mourning broken traditions! It definitely was sad to miss out on those kinds of special times and family gatherings but it felt like the right thing to do. Hope you had a nice Thanksgiving just the same. We'll all try again next year! 💛
I actually have some getting delivered now. For some reason it’s been sitting at a USPS distribution center for days lol. Once I use it a couple of times, I’ll do a review.
Happy Thanksgiving Nia!! Enjoy your family as much as you can with this Covid. I use a tee-shirt as well. I still have to braid and band too. A headache for me, but getting better.. 😆
Girl you pumping all that product into your hand just to show us was stressing me a little lol. So used to seeing naturals showing product and then immediately putting it into their hair because the stuff be expensive 🤣 happy Thanksgiving! Many blessings to you and your family.
Lol, I wanted to show that the consistency was liquid based, in case some people where concerned about buildup lol! I did it twice because I thought my hand was covering the camera the first time lol 😂
I’m 2 months in and I use the tee shirt when I was natural but when I get my retires she uses a towel and I feel like my retires are frizzy after my wash n retire. So I think I’m gonna wash myself and see if there is a difference. Thanks for the video

Great tip🫶🏾
Thanks for the tip! I will try that
Yes I am in the beginning stage and I’m out here looking crazy. Thanks for explaining this
Crazy ain't that ain't the word. Jesus
Been using T-shirt’s to dry my locs for five years; absorbs well, prevents frizz and lint, and is easier on the neck than my huge towels 🤣
You are so right lol! Towels do pull on the neck something serious lol!
Love your hair and tips❤
Love your hair and you're so genuine
Thank you so much =)
I had been using T-shirts since my installation in 2011. I don't have lint issues with my locks.
great tips!! you know whats crazy i love the frizz in my loc's. the t- shirt idea is great because who need towel lint in there loc's
I don’t mind my frizz either !!!
Me too, I don't mind the frizz, just a little is cool, not too much but just a little.

Thanks for sharing! I think that's beautiful =)
Do you use cotton t shirts
Or do they need to be a certain blend
Glasses Up!! Will leave braids in until they're dry! Yet installing My #microbraids #microtwists #diylocs installation!

I’m here for the pineapple mimosas. They are my favorite!
They just hit different than the standard orange =) !

Very informative.. I am one week in this journey! Micro locs… installed by myself… thank you
Thank you for watching! I hope you’re LOVING the start of your journey.
Thanks for this tip. Will give the mouse a try!
So gorgeous 😍, I’m going through the baby stage but I think my frizz is kinda cute. But my hands feel different 🥴
New to this sis loc journey. Here watching
Hi !!!! I hope you’re enjoying the start to your journey!!!
@@Niaimani92 I am, most definitely. So glad to be on this journey 🥰
New subscriber here. Your tips are great. Thank you.
Hi Prudence =) Thank so much! I am so glad you are enjoying the content.
If you ever do try naetorious edge control as well, we would love to hear about it.

Thank you so much Tasha. It was just me and my husband this year, which was strange, but we had a good time. I hope you enjoyed your holiday too.
@@Niaimani92 Yes, I understand that. It was me, my daughters and hubby this year. Have to be careful with this COVID.
I hate braiding and banding. Those bands get stuck in my hair
Thank you. Tips around 6:10
Is the Instagram name that has the mousse “naytoria”? I can’t find that on Instagram.
With braiding and banding is that something done only when you’re washing the hair OR should it be done everyday or night before bed?
I only did it while washing
Thanks for responding. I was never clear on the braiding and banding. I only do it on wash day anyway so I’m good to go. Just needed clarity.😊

You’re so welcome!
Your hair is super cute!! Is it naturally coarse or fine? What about density?
Thank you! I have 4c hair with average density.
