FUCKING BADASS! Got to see these guys in 1980...damn shame music isn't made like this anymore...Travers and Trower hold a permanent place on my playlists
Andrew k Adams. I seen Pat Travers quite a few times in da 80s. He came 2 Baltimore every year for like 5 or 6 yrs playin in night clubs. He was a hard working hard rockin kick ass guitar blazin bad ass.I seen Robin Trower 1 time at Towson state college he was feefuckinfeenominal. Im gonna make me some playlists 2 hon. 😎✌C ya.
Pat Travers, Frank Marino, Robin Trower three xtremely under rated top of the line guitar players who deserve fame and respect. Forget hendrix, clapton, and paige.. They suck and in my opinion can go kick a fn bush.
LIFE IN LONDON WAS ALL IT TOOK I'VE WATCHED PAT WHEN IN MY OPINION HAD THE BEST PLAYERS HE HAD PAT THRALL FROM AUTOMATIC MAN I BELIEVE WAS HIS OLD BAND AHH ME FAVORITE DRUMMER KING TOMMY ROCKING DRUM STUD MR TOMMY ALDRIDGE ONE BAD MOTHER PETER MARS CROLING DON'T MIND MY SPELLING PAT JAMED WITH MY FRIENDS THAT WAS NICE I WAS WISHING I COULD OF PLAYED WITH PAT RONNIE MONTROSE WAS PLAYING SLIDE OUTSIDE SOME BIG BUILDING S MY HOMETOWN HEROS FRANK HANNON A GOOD GUY ROBBIE GREAT DRUMMER BUT LITTLE RICKY DERRICK DEORGE TURNED EDWARD VAN HALEN NAM SHOW IT WAS KILLER VAN HALEN LOVED DERRICK N EDDIE'S LIL JAM
Saw Travers in Buffalo NY at a jazz club 2 months ago....sat front row. Pat blew the roof off. Way better than anticipated. This was the 5th time seeing Pat.
saw pat travers in home town, ottawa, canada, very intense, talked to him when pat thrall was doing a solo, travers was watching, saying look at that guy play,,,,,,, travers is not only a student, but a wonderful teacher of the trade, anyone who has seen or talked to pat will tell you the man is a true pro!!!
He was yesterday in Soest Germany. He play on the 5. Soester Blues Festival. He is a great Guitar player an singer. My favourite songs from Pat is Crash and Burn and Elijah. He Rocks
just glad to see that he's still doing it after all these years...still got my guitar player mag with him on cover from 1980...noticed he's not playing those old gibson melody makers anymore. guys incredible
Loved this song along with many others. I lived in Spokane in the early ‘80’s and he was a rock god! Wish I could have seen him, will still love to if this Covid crap under control.
I still can remember the first time i seen the Pat Travers band and he still had all the original players, so they were a crack band live but when i saw him first he was touring with headliner Ted Nugent and openers The Scorpions, it was a great show but It was when Pat had the keyboards(which i thought were great!) but the kids there were not too impressed as it was a rock show and all they wanted was loud screaming guitars ,not a melodic set that was very impressive, its what got me buying the Crash and Burn album and being a fan for life!
Just saw PT play this in Col. Ohio at The Bluestone'e New Years Eve show. Great show, Rick Derringer also.First time I saw Pat was in Charleston WV open for ACDC, PT, Pat Thrall, Mars and Tommy Alldridge destroyed the place. That particular line up was, in my opinion, possibly the greatest rock band in the world. Have seen Pat many times over the years and he has yet to dissapoint. Up the Hammerheads!
I remember smokin a scoob of FLORIDA MICaNOPY "MADNESS" @ O'HARE airport 1 hour before take off (6 hour buzz) and this was a track on the in flight rock channel! ;) It has been a lifetime favorite ever since/sense!!
glassfx. U was flying hi in dem friendly skys schmokin some scoobydoobiedoo shit I ain't never even heard of. U sure it wasn't some pcp flakes? Dats a beautiful memmory hon real speacial. Chow mane 2 u 2 Scoobie.
This is a great version. The original is one of my favorites, but the cheesy synth keyboard sounds date it badly. This - Pat on guitar and no keyboards ... rocks ...
@cptriana Well, now, that would be a copyright infringement, now, wouldn't it? I have exclusive permission for this live material. Now, about sounding much better? Seems you are the only visitor who has issues with the recording quality. Pat and Kirk both were astounded by the audio and video recording quality. Now, you could always be-bop down to your local music store and buy a copy of the original LP, or suffer through thousands upon thousands of other TH-cam videos. Good luck! TKTurbo
Drummer should probably have learned the open hihats 6 against 4 part played by tommy aldridge a little more consistently. Not sure if it was his fault but it dragged a bit too.
Always , big venue or not .He still works up a sweat , but I guess he hates the heat with the lights and other stuff . It's usually just a big fan at the foot of the stage .
To me, this song completely destroys the political realm. And I'm just finding that in a way, it speaks of cosmology and how humanity has been nearly completely wiped out numerous times in the ancient past due to cataclysm, ie comets "crashing" into the planet and "burning" up everything.
sis boomba29 .....u are a riot waiting to happen man. Yes I'm the real 😎fred😎. I live in Tejas that's Texas. Another nickname of mine is quotethepirate. Another is supercalafrag.
Fred Flintstone. My handle? Dats some c.b. shit from da 70s good buddy watch out 4 smokey and da bandit 10 4 yo. Im glad u be laffin I was laffin when I was writing it. U have a bootiful nite Freddie baby honey sweetheart. U b cool I likes dat in a man. Ima head on over 2 an eminem page and cauz some real live hate and contentment. I hate dat no talent wigger fuckin has been rapper and all his fans 2. Goodnite Freddie 😈

Travers and Trower. Can't go wrong with those two. I've seen them both. Wish I could have seen Trower with J Dewar on vocals.
We're lucky to be here on Earth at the same time as Pat Travers! 🙌
BEEN LISTENING TO PAT SINCE THE MID 70'S .. HE STAYS PLAYING IN MY HEAD ALL THE TIME AND I LOVE IT

This guitar dominant version is what the original should have been. Salutes to Pat for breathing new life into this classic.
Keyboard version is much better but still this rocks. Seen him 5 times & always blows me away
So glad I was lucky enough to enjoy the 70's music scene, turned 12 in 1970 and the rest was a blur of fun, music, drugs and girls, girls, girls!
Saw Travers in Buffalo NY at a jazz club 2 months ago....sat front row. Pat blew the roof off. Way better than anticipated. This was the 5th time seeing Pat.

Pat personifies the 70's for us in Rock and Roll. What an awesome time to be young 🤘

He was yesterday in Soest Germany. He play on the 5. Soester Blues Festival. He is a great Guitar player an singer. My favourite songs from Pat is Crash and Burn and Elijah.

Probably the BEST live version of this song available.
Loved this song along with many others. I lived in Spokane in the early ‘80’s and he was a rock god! Wish I could have seen him, will still love to if this Covid crap under control.
Patrick Henry "Pat" Travers is a Canadian rock Guitarist, Keyboardist ( born April 12/1954 )

Love this song since it first came out, saw him play at the Swing Auditorium when this album came out.....It was a great show........Mac
"It's all just too insane". And now more than ever!
Love this. Pat's hold back is the lack of LIVE VIDEOS with quality sound....
love the harmonies and modal lines ...so good .
Love this tune.
Pat Travers has enriched my life. Listen to Hooked on music
Yes .......HOOKED !!
Played slower like this adds a whole new feel to it. Really nice. Thanks for the upload.
Pat Travers habe ich mal im Franzis in Wetzlar vor 40 Nasen an einem verregneten Montag Abend gesehen..... unfassbar. Konzert war sehr schön....
2006? Wow - Pat looks and sounds great ... thanks for sharing.
Fantastic guitar player

LOVE PT! Always "kills" live.
Love the reggae influence on this track.
Up the Hammerheads!
This was my favorite line up with Pat Travers Rick Navarro on bass Eric Freitas on drums Kirk McKim on guitar
i always like the era of pat thrall, mars cowling, and tommy aldridge
This Still Jams..........................
Great version of a timeless classic. Tone cuts through steel on both guitars.
A great song!
A Canadian legend. 🇨🇦

Awesome guitar tone! Smooth but crunchy.....
This is a great version. The original is one of my favorites, but the cheesy synth keyboard sounds date it badly. This - Pat on guitar and no keyboards ... rocks ...

@pdpryse You are quite welcome. Glad you enjoyed it!
Guitar god

Love to know the chords for this song
Does anyone have "Evie" live?
This Works...
@lukemanify Do you, by chance, mean "Stevie?"
@cptriana Well, now, that would be a copyright infringement, now, wouldn't it? I have exclusive permission for this live material. Now, about sounding much better? Sure missing the awesome keyboard parts on this version here... still a great song/great player though.
pat with tony almeida on guitar
@lukemanify DOH! I guess he didn't perform it that night.
I love live music, but to me, in this instance, nothing touches the studio version.
Miss the keyboards!
+Dartagnan65 I like the original but this definitely works.
Is that a PRS the lead guitarist is playing?
aha aprs
@Esbenmad I found out: Kirk McKim
This song's just not the same without the keyboards.
CUMIN`DOWN LIKE RAIN DEAR_______((*))_______
That kid on 2nd guitar must be all of 16 years old .
That's Kirk McKim on guitar from probably 10 or 12 years ago .He looks like a boy scout .
drumming lets this song down.sometime,s feels as if its going to come 2 a halt, pity one of my fav song,s
Drummer should probably have learned the open hihats 6 against 4 part played by tommy aldridge a little more consistently. Not sure if it was his fault but it dragged a bit too.
This wind machine? Why``
Pat Travers staple.
Always , big venue or not .He still works up a sweat , but I guess he hates the heat with the lights and other stuff . It's usually just a big fan at the foot of the stage .
100% THC ....THAT`S 4 SURE A SOLUTION *

Love the song, love the band, but this version is too draggy for me. I like it played a bit faster.
no, it's not just you - the meter is horrible in the extreme....almost painful
so over looked..def so underrated...
The drummer kinda irritates me though. He slows down and speeds up.
it' off. it's dragging. too much weed.
John Agresti f u man
