I wanted to thank you! I just finished installing 2400 sq ft of vinyl plank all by myself with no transitions. I'm a 43 year old woman who has never done this before. Your videos deserve all the credit for the success. I had to work backwards and meet up to the initial run and I was worried it wouldn't line up, but it did thanks to you!! Much appreciated. Thank you!! ❤️
Thanks Joe! My 17 year old son and I have spent the last few months slowly laying LVP in a new to us “cabin” using all your tips and tricks! I started with the free videos and then signed up for your “university”. We have learned so much. My main takeaway is that we are better at laying flooring than we are at painting. 😂 Keep up the great work! God bless you, brother!
If you have more than one box of vinyl planking, do you pull planks out of each box and mix them up? Change the pattern.. Or does not make a difference, and you can just take it out of the same box and keep laying it down?
Love your videos, always such great content, really well explained, your work looks flawless, and I can tell you’re good people. I really appreciate the prayer too, that one summed up the state of my life right now!🤦🏻♂️ Waaay too much going on and wrong for quite sometime, so thank you for that! I’m going to be installing some laminate soon and I’m lost and sweating it😅lol It’s 14mm thick Pergo Defense Plus and has virtually 0 give. If I run into a situation going through doorways and need to modify the groove, how would I go about it? Wood glue? I definitely don’t want to use transitions even though they say you have to. Right now I’m getting everything ready for self leveler because it’s too much to skim with patch and I’m sweating that too….. I have soooo many questions if you were my neighbor I would be driving you nuts!l😂 Also, I didn’t see the link for those spacers and they look really good, where can I find them? I wish you had more laminate videos, I think you’re the best on TH-cam with this stuff. God bless!
Hello, can you please give me some guidance? I am wanting to install LVP over concrete slab. I would like wider, long planks that are waterproof , 20mil atleast, dent and scratch proof....but wi not break the bank, as I am a single mom, but I want to lay something that will last and easy to care for. Please give me your top 3 choices. I have watched all of your videos, but I am still a little lost on what to choose. Thank you in advance for your reply.
My Wife and I have carpet and really want to do LVP. I am just scared about going from the front rooms and in to the back of the house Family room kitchen. I am considering your subscription to help me plan my starting points. Thank you.
Ok so I’m currently installing Nucore Performance and it is a very thick and stiff plank…. I dugout a way to install it similar to the situation @ 11:20 and where he shows his own hack @ 14:00…. Don’t do what he does for the Nucore Performance, instead cut the opposite side…. He cut the groove I on the other hand insist that cutting the tiny lip that requires you lift the plank will prevent you from having to put glue… I’ll try to explain differently and give my scenario… Plank is roughly 7 3/4 wide, half plank slid under door preventing me to lift on ends that are under the door.. So what I did was trim off the lip only on the edges and left the lip in the center part of the door intact…. As I was sliding and tapping I slightly lifted the center of the plank so that I can connect the center meanwhile the edges just popped in because I cut that part off… This really stressed me out trying to install before figuring out this trick… Please don’t think I’m dogging out this creator because he has the best information I’ve found online anywhere at the moment I’m just paying it forward by sharing my experience
If you cut the tongue off you now have weakened the integrity of the locking system and compromised the strength of the plank. Is all the plank is doing now is resting on the groove. The way I am sharing is only cutting the lip off that locks the plank in place. The strength of the joint is not compromised and the glue locks it in place.
@@sothatshowyoudothat thanks for the feedback…. I really appreciate the insight and this was my 1st install so I had to figure it out myself…. It was a very frustrating moment as I sat on the floor frustrated trying to figure out how I was going to make it work…. I will say that I was really proud of myself when I finally figured it out 🤣🤣🤣.. what you say makes sense and once again I really appreciate your insight as well as the explanation 💪💪💪🫵
@@sothatshowyoudothatI will do your way in the future, I trust and believe what you say…. As far as the piece that I already installed, I’m not concerned about it coming apart because I only removed the tongue on the ends that lay flat under the doors trim.. As I tried to explain I didn’t modify the center so I feel it’s safe to say that it’s good… Once again after reading your explanation and thinking about it I know that your was is best 🫵💪👍
The floor will still be able to expand and contract. We are only gluing the joints, it is still a floating floor. By the way, Vinyl plank does not really expand and contract, your house does.
Hey Joe, another great vid. Could I ask a favor? Can I get you to drop a prayer for me? I turned 45 this month and spent it in the hospital. I've got a brain bleed and a cranial fluid leak. My heart hurts so much. I'm gonna be out of work for a while and in bed for far too long. Thanks, Joe.

You are awesome! We have a 3024 sf house that we are going to put LVP in, do you have any tips?
@Kiwimax Just follow this guy's advice and get good quality flooring. Good luck!

God bless you for this video. I struggled to install a thicker vinyl on my doorway and now I know what to do.
Thank you! And bliss you for your prayers.
Thank you!!
Your content is very helpful
Glad you think so!
Thank you for this video. It has been very helpful because right now I’m installing wood floor to my rooms where it used to be carpeted.
You can do it!

Yes, wood glue can be used with laminate. Here is the link to the spacers - amzn.to/3Up00vJ

Hi, stupid question maybe but can you use de tappingblock on laminate? Or will it brake the tongue?
That is a great question. Yes, you can use it on laminate.
How’s the floor going to expand and contract if it’s glued?
Good question, I imagine a wood glue up panel.. The wood still extends and contracts and it remains glued
The floor will still be able to expand and contract. We are only gluing the joints, it is still a floating floor. By the way, Vinyl plank does not really expand and contract, your house does.

One cheater board, two cheater boards… I just use a tape measure 😊
Go for it.
