Hey Joe, I'm 23 and just bought my first house. Thanks to you all your tips and tricks I installed vinyl plank in my whole house. Really I can not thank you enough for sharing your knowledge. Couldn't have done it without you!
Ive actually learned alot from this guys channel. I mostly do hardwood flooring and engineered floors but ive been doing more vinyl the last couple years and if you dont always do it this channel helped me more so around kitchen appliances and around jambs . The locking system was difficult the first couple jobs bc they were spaced so far apart .. I think if i had my own company id be trying to get vinyl jobs bc you can install like 800 ft apartment and stairs daily. My cousin had a contract for 200 apartments from 650 to 800ft and a set of stairs very easily with drop n lock per day and zero prep tbh no float cut jambs as we went . Painters did shoe mould . There was alot i didnt agree with about it bc i usually work harwood floors and do sand and finish so at first it didnt feel like flooring to me . Turns out it was just the job i was on though . Im actually very fond of installing vinyl these days but anyhow thanks for this channel . Thanks for the prayers
Hey Joe, I want to say thank you for your tips and tricks. You're very knowledgeable. Also, thank you for your positive attitude and prayers. God bless you
Great video! Thanks for covering these tools. I am getting ready to start my first install of my entire main floor and I have been watching your videos for inspiration. Also, thanks for being led by God to pray for all of those watching. What a breath of fresh air to see that prayer is not completely lost in this crazy world.
Amen as to being led of God and saying so! Warms my heart and honors God. If we don’t acknowledge Him before those we share earth space with why in heaven would we expect Him to acknowledge us there? Thanks for mentioning this @bradcedergren! Hope your flooring job went well or that does go well! Bless you both!
I just did a big flooring project in my basement. Between leveling the subfloor and picking up the block / puller your advice has been a life saver. I've done small bedrooms and bathrooms but never a main living area/hallway before. Your advice was clutch. TYVM.
Just wanted to say thank you for making these kickass videos. I watched tons of videos on installing vinyl plank/laminate and yours were by far the most helpful. Just installed fooring in half my house this weekend and used tons of your tips to get it done. Thank you.
Hello Joe, your tips and tricks are so helpful! You have made the flooring jobs I have done so much better ( more professional ) and easier. You really shows things that save so much time and make it easy to do things right the first time such as door jambs, layout, cheater boards etc. A lot of these things are typically learned by mistakes but your training helps avoid these. Thanks so much! It is obvious you care about helping people. Above all, thanks for having the courage to pray and witness to our precious heavenly father. I pray your witness will wins souls to Christ and Im praying you will continue to be successful. Thanks and God bless
I've installed around 8,000 sf of LVP and, surprisingly, we only share about three of the same tools 😆. Thanks for the info! I'll definitely look into that tapping block.
I love your videos and your recommendations on tools to use. Most of all, your faith in Christ. Which helps me to determine your convictions on everything you do, and suggest. May God richly bless your life and your families, and your devotion to Him.
Hey Joe. Thank you so much for sharing. Just started laying vinyl plank in my house and I bought your recommended tools including the bullet tools knock block and pull bar. They are amazing! My wife and I are doing this together and she’s so happy I bought the right tools. She loves the knock block and thinks it’s fun to use.
Hey Joe Your tips are always great and very helpful How is your experience with flooret silven hardwood so far ? I am seriously considering installing oban .
Another great video. I bought 12 of them spacers but I can't decide to use them or screw a few scraps and skip the first row. I'm doing a 1,200 square feet mobile home job Monday with a laminate from Sam's
Many have talked about SPC peaking when installed on a concrete foundation without a barrier. I think manufacturers are going to recommend a barrier for all installs on concrete if the core is SPC. Perhaps a video on preferred barrier and this topic is warranted.
Ok, so, good show, K? Very informative, K? Love all your tips, OK! Your shows are awesome, K! I'm looking forward to more good things from you, OK..? I'll be watching K. I'm just having a little fun with you, OK? Have a good day, K? Lol! K..
Have any vids on installing LVP on a stair tread. I have a job coming up with a 1 step landing they want LVP on it. They want the step and sides covered. The step has a overhang on 3 sides which needs to be covered
Hello and thank you for the videos. There great. I would like to know how come you don’t show how to do diagonal patterns? I would love to floor my home with 22ml lifeproof. In California Thanks in advance
Regarding your Flooret comments at the end…. I like everything about this floor and would probably use it in my entire house. Unfortunate their marketing pushing it out of the running. I have no need for a $4.50 PSF / 40 MIL wear layer of their SIGNATURE, but I also don’t want 6” wide plank of the BASE line. If they offered a 8-9” wide plank in a 20 MIL wear at say 3.25-3.50 PSF, they would crush the niche. Typically this type of product lineup pushes people to the higher tier, but I have no need or desire to drop 4.50 PSF on far more specs than I need for residential. If you have their ear, this would be awesome feedback for them to hear.
Hi Joe, Just watched your review of LVP floors you picked up at one of box stores. Great info. You mentioned Shaw Manor Hill as being a good, solid choice. I love the look and color but I can't find it anywhere for sale. I like the natural, light wood wide planks... any other ones that you like that are light in color. Thanks
He seemed to like the Nucore brand from Floor & Decor as well. I bought a couple dozen boxes for bathrooms and love it. Depending on the style, it's $3 to 4 a square foot. Might be a solid choice if you can't find that brand and you have a Floor & Decor close to you. Good luck!
Do you have a video on aquaguard from floor & decor? My wife has me putting down a few hundred sq ft. She picked up the garbage install kit from F&D also and I’m about to pull my hair out. I looked through your videos but I may have missed it.
Just found your channel recently and I have a question.Gonna be tearing out all my carpet and putting in LVT. I’m in a condo and live on the second floor so I need the most soundproof under padding I can find. Have you done a video on the best under padding? Been binging on installation videos and your channel has been hands down the BEST. Thank you for all your hard work and God Bless!
He's mentioned Quiet Walk in a couple of videos. Other reviews seem to hold up his opinion. I'm going to be using it with Nucore vinyl that has a cork pad attached.
Hi! I've looked all over TH-cam and I can't find anything that will tell me how to install plank around some old metal railing that leads to our mid level.
Hello brother. I always appreciate your prayers. I know you are an honest man. Thank you for that. Having said all that, I ordered the spacers on March 7. I kept them on my cart until I saw them for 37 dlls. Well, they raised the price right after I ordered them to 57. My order hasn't been fulfilled. When I ordered another set, I got them the next day (at 57 dlls of course). I returned them since I ordered them just to make a point. Just making you aware since you promote these items and it may hurt your credibility with other folks not with me I know it isn't your fault.
I wouldn't think anyone would hold that against him. He doesn't control prices, he just says they work good. I personally bought 3 packs of 4 at separate times. Feb 18th and 24th they were $17.89 March 11th $21.37. Personally I blame Joe Flation lol.... Seriously prices always go up
Joe, love your channel! Your Lixie deadblow hammer... is it the 200H or 200L (should say right on the head where it meets the handle)? I'm asking because the link in your tools section is for the 200L, which isn't what I'm seeing you use in your vids or featuring here. The 200L has a red head on it and different handle. It's also lighter, 38oz vs 56.
Hi Joe, thank you so much for this video as it is exactly what I was looking for. As a person that has never laid any flooring, I plan to start in about 8 weeks from now once I return back in the states from overseas. I want to lay vinyl plank flooring rather than laminate as I will be working on a slab floor and do not need to worry about a moisture barrier. When you start to do the job do you need to remove all of the base board or are you allowed to just put down some quarter round molding once the plans have been installed? Another question is would it be alright to install the vinyl plank flooring directly over a ceramic tile floor. If not, what preparation would I need to do in order to do so? Many thanks in advance in advance.
Hey Joe, have you ever used DMX's one-step underlayment? I bought Cali-vinyl flooring from Lowes and their customer service said not to use it as it's thicker than 2mm and would void their warranty. My issue is I'm installing the flooring in a basement; all they recommend is using 6mil plastic on the slab and then applying the flooring. My concern is moisture and causing mold under the plastic. Would it be safer to use that dimple underlayment for airflow or stick with the plastic?
Another great video, Joe. Question: do you use a specific jigsaw blade if using a jigsaw to cut vinyl plank? Every blade I have tried wears down extremely fast. Thanks!
Just got a quote for $5000 to have 450 square feet of LVP with aqua barrier installed from Empire Today which includes removal of the old carpet, furniture moving and cement patch work..Would you say this is a fair price? Thank You!
Hi Joe, two questions ,can you put laminate planks on a concrete stairs and do you put the transition strip directly under the bedroom door. Thank you for your humble and professional help.
The crap installation tools from the big box stores will make you think installing plank flooring is hard. The tapping block in this video will literally change your world.

Can you do a video on underlayment recommendations please. Especially for use with flooret product
Can you do a video on installing planks at a door trim that transitions to an angled wall that isn’t squared up with the door trim?
Really good advise
How can I make an order, from your tools ? I don't see the link. Thanks!

Yes. You need a moisture barrier
Hi Joe, I don’t see the tool links.
the china tapping block has 2 screw heads on the bottom?
I'm having a hard time finding the little lip stripper you used in one of the videos - it's not in this collection. Can you name that tool?
Small plane
What is the weight of your dead-blow hammer?
Thanks god bless

My wife wants a vinyl plank floor... First time for me.... buy a "real" size tapping block..... DONE (any waiting EBay)...
I have all those tools but not the knee pads .
The crap installation tools from the big box stores will make you think installing plank flooring is hard. The tapping block in this video will literally change your world.
