Keep it up!! And don't blindly follow any advice, including Vidiq advice.... Focus on the algorithm more if you want to grow, which is pretty much the opposite of what Vidiq keeps saying... and despite them saying this is a safe space? During their lives, they've been literally laughing me in the face, and the Vidiq discord is even worse...
Anyways, focus on the algorithm. Make content for the algorithm first, audience second. Currently, the algorithm only likes things it already knows, so big channels and definitely not authentic, unique, new content. However, people do like that! So make content that looks familiar to the algorithm, while still being new and unique to humans... requires a lot of experimenting, but once you get it it can go fast. My channel grew with 1k subs after doing this for a month.

I invested 25 years in making musics/sounds and graphics, 14 years on TH-cam. Created another channel years ago for niche = same low stats. I'm still at nowhere where i started. I can tell now i worked/learned millions of hours for nothing. Now i'm at over the threshold with my health, and i have no more opportunities to continue for 30-100 views average. I see always new channels with similar content that i created, and they are flying in months without caring about anything, tags or SEO. 8-20K followers in 6 months and 10-150K views on videos. My seo scores are 100 at most of my videos, no any positive effect just takes lot of time to setup. So all what i can tell you and anybody who read this. WISHING YOU BETTER LUCK 🍀🤞
@Tranmaart I'm sorry to hear that... it unfortunately is what youtube became. With great, authentic content you get nowhere. It's all about pleasing the algorithm... and the algorithm loves seeing the same things over and over and over. That's why many creative creators are leaving the last months and more will follow. Vidiq doesn't get it, most people here don't get it. And the few that do (me included) get laughed at...
In the meantime I did grow from 500 to 1.6k subs in a month by abandoning nearly everything Vidiq had taught me... I found a way to make the algorithm think I'm posting the same old, boring content while actually posting authentic, unique content... Not sure how far this will take me. But for now it's paying off

Starting new channel on TH-cam can be really tough, so I knew I couldn't afford to waste months trying to get noticed by just a handful of people. Instead of spending months to get few hundred subscribers, I found a shortcut to get noticed early and I got myself first 1000 subs (by using a bit of Famester of course). Once that happened, my main channel blow up, and I realized that people tend to focus on numbers when searching for content. Having a low subscriber count often means being overlooked, even if your content is top-notch...

That’s so true about the subscriber count as I’m guilty of that myself unless they really stand out. I was thinking if I started a channel and I’d like your opinion on this, that before I put content out there that I’d make about 5-10 videos first and then create my channel and then upload a few of them so I at least have content to release for a few days/weeks and have time to make more content whilst those videos are being uploaded. I’m not sure I explained my idea very well. I hope you understand what I mean?? If so, what do you think?
@@Bexks Hi Bex, this is exactly what i have done. I spent the month of January travelling and since i came home i have started a channel, i have enough footage for about 14-15 videos. I'm going to upload 1 video every week which will give me lots of time to shoot some new stuff. Uploaded my first video 2 day's ago and so far it's had 50 views, pretty happy with that for my first time. Looking forward to the next few weeks and months to see how many views and subscribers i can get. Good luck to you too

Would it be a good idea to have different youtube channels using the same email account, or would it be better to have a separate email for each channel?
The tip where you advised not keeping the same email as the one you used for your youtube channel was very useful and an eye opener.

A hurdle ive seen myself and many youtubers find is: audience size troubles. What size topic should an open-to-anything person go for? If you choose something massive, like for instance, music theory, you have a massive audience but your videos will be right beside videos from people with 50+ years experience. But if you choose something niche, you need to be top of your class, as you might need literally 50% or better of people who play a certain game or are interested in a niche thing to click on your videos (but little competition). I REALLY want to start a serious channel, and I have tons of topics of all popularity levels that I would love to youtube for. But I don't want to make the wrong choice.
You should start a channel on the topic you are genuinely interested in, so you would enjoy making videos and be passionate about it :)
