nice presentation! the music is a gypsy kind?...who's the guitarist?
"Beautiful"...
I have done a lot of reverse paintings on glass... but I use just good old Black India INk... (let dry)
then I use Acrylic paint ... yep that simple... I have won many a blue ribbons on my works...
I painted (just the eyes) of a tiger... putting the black ink down first .. then white and the other colors...
It turned out Beautiful... a few minuets later I some how hit it on the table and broke it in half!!!! I cried.
I used a single pain of glass... (too thin)... that's okay... I just did it again...
Happy Painting....
Very nice work, I finally got a better idea of how to do this. Thanks
Hello
Loved your video. However I am a novice at reverse glass gilding and have got stuck at the stage of creating guide marks on the gold from the original template. Try as I may- using stabile chinagraph pencils i dont seem to be able to get a significant mark on the glass to do the blacking in. Is there any other type of pencil I should use? Im using tracing paper for the templates. I could try a pouncing wheel I guess but the tracing method seems to be a lot easier if only i could get something achieve something I can see!!
any advice welcome
Regards
John
Hmmm maybe transfer paper on your design ? .. not sure

Hello, I just have a question on the gold leaf finish. When you were doing the water gilding technique with the gold leaf on the glass.... How did you get that "mirrored" or reflection effect? Like at first the gold leaf was matte then after you guilded it and let it dry, the gold started to become "mirrored" or had a reflection effect. How did you do it? because I am trying and I cant seem to get that effect
gold leaf will dry and tighten as it dries and only water size can achieve the mirror effect . and oil size can not it will have a textured look
What kind of font is that and what kind of glue do you use
It's purified water and gelatin capsules
