I had it just on release date.. 1 month ago .. using Iphone : I had some Alexa issue ( disconnected ) opening Mi Fitness solved it , some places on the menú I got "decelerations" , checked the HR on a Spinning class with a chest band and the Watch 3 and worked PERFECT same data!!

The weather forecast is rather accurate for my location (Sofia, Bulgaria). You can switch to different metric systems and yeah, you can see the forecast about the next days in advance.
Hey developer here again. I am here to help you to make your device work for Alexa. I noticed that in your region Alexa is not supported so no need to worry you just have to change the region in the app and pair your watch again and it will work. Actually I am a Zepp developer and don't know that much about Xiaomi fit. In Zepp if your country is not supported you can change the country to US or India to make it work.

It can, but if your hand moves, then it won't take the measure. It needs a out 30-40 seconds for taking a measure, this is why it works better at night.

Pretty good device, that display looks great, shame no auto brightness. Interface seems very responsive and not lagging which is great. Wondering how the aod display looks like. Great to know it can do almost a week on a single charge. It's a good option for the price provided they update the app software support. Great review as usual
There are a few different AOD interfaces. Not as elegant as on Huawei, but very well readable in daytime. I'll be happy to share some photos - ping me via email or Instagram,.please.

The prices of Xiaomi products have risen considerably, while their quality has not necessarily kept pace, and today, high-end smartwatches that cost $200-$300 3 years ago, cost the same if not less today, Huawei Watch Fit 2, Galaxy Watch 3, Huawei Gt2, Apple Watch 4/5 ....
Agreed. Similar with smartphones, although there the quality is in place, so are the innovations.
Still - Garmin and Fitbit charge tripled more than that for similar features.

Not possible.
You can listen through your smartphone, and control any media playback from the watch. This includes changing the volume.
Hey very nice review. Do you know if the GPS accuracy has been improved by now? Im looking for a new watch since I hate to take my phone with me for GPS while running with my mi band 6. I wouldn't even mind if the battery drains faster as long as the gps is accurate while running. A lot of people think 7 pro is trash so I don't know if I should go with the Redmi Watch 3 or maybe even wait for the 8pro (if it has GPS).
It feels just a tad better, but keep in mind that it is right now the summer season here and there are way less cloids

Nice review, now am interested to buy a smartwatch but am between, Xiaomi s1 active , Huawei GT runner, Amazfit gts 4 mini and Redmi Watch 3, which one do u think is the best fort me the price is no problem, which one is more stable , fast, accurate and has better tracking sensors of heart rate, SPO2 and others ?
Each one of the models that you mention is a good one. Think about the size and shape, and connectivity to your mobile. If you have an iphone using Amazfit makes better sense.

i can't believe how smart watch tech seems to have been so stagnant if not even backwards for the last decade! I had the samsung watch 2 back in the day for the same price and id not only had and IR blaster and a camera but the same apps...
This architecture is different. And it is impressive how a basic Os (RTOS) can catch up with a lot more advanced one, such as WearOS and Tizen OS.

These are quite good. Redmi watch 3 doesn't have auto brightness feature, and it is for sure a very important one if you plan to use it more often.

Hmm, they are quite close. I feel that Redmi Watch 3 is snappier.
They are recording about 18hrs behind. Sleep records me sleeping in the middle of the day. I will wake up at 7am and it will say I slept from 6:00am-14:00 or something. If I view it after maybe 4pm it says I didn’t sleep because it recorded it as the night before. If I view my steps/calories it records me walking around in the middle of the night. But the clock function displays the correct time. Standing function is recording at the correct time. There are a lot of reviews from various communities. Can you check it out?
Sounds like there is something not right with yours. Try to factory reset a d check again.

@@smartbug1 Yeah this watch is great for android and I would've chose this over a samsung/huawei watch if I had an android phone. You lose a lot of third party customizations and most of the time these apps don't stay open in the background in iOS so you get missed notifications as I've tried with mi bands/haylou/amazfit
@@jaspercas the only way to achieve 100% battery health is to report the battery, and doing that then the watch will not be water resistant anymore... Anyhow this is a Redmi watch (budget brand) and costs a lot less than a apple watch whether refurbished or not, and not a apple watch, therefore there is no need to compare to apple watches whatsoever.

@@TechMishka Do you understand how it's measuring calories? It haven't seen it make sense. It says it's measuring total calories burned - both active and resting. But the numbers it gives me is too high for just activity and too low for total.

Try to make a factory reset. Sounds like a software bug. It was quite fine when I use it, and I use WhatsApp a lot

You can try a factory reset first. GTR3 Pro is superior to Redmi Watch 3 in terms of features

I have one question regarding the measuring of the heart rate. In the description of the product, there was written that there is the possibility of setting an alert function so that the watch notifies you when your heart rate is too high. I couldn't find the setting though. Can anyone help me with this, please?
Yes, go into the Mi fitness app, go to the watch settings, select HR tracking and there is a tick about these notifications. As far as I remember they are on by default

It supports notifications for each and every app on your phone. You cannot answer to phone calls though.

How accurate is the step tracking on this watch? I just got the Mi Band 8 from this company and am already a bit weary of the steps being horribly off. I am still testing the watch, but when I went for a 5k step walk with the watch on and a tally device in the other hand to count each step- the watch was always either 200-400 steps behind or just didn't count the steps at all. That being only one test, I'm hoping it was a fluke and will keep testing for the remainder of the week...I know the mi band 8 is only $50, but I was hoping it could at least keep track of steps somewhat reliably.
In the event i return this watch, I would love any suggestions for a watch that could fit these criteria-
$150 or less (pretax of course)
1.4 to 1.8 inch screen (36-46mm)
oled or amoled screen
Reliable step tracking
at least 5 day battery life
GPS is not necessary, but isn't opposed either.
I find the steps tracking quite accurate.

Just got a Huawei Watch Fit 2. From the surface looks incredible and the price was nice. But as soon as you dive deeper you realize it is unusable for notifications. Fit 2 is actually a Mi Band 1S in terms of notifications - the screen does not light up when you receive a message, it just gives a short vibration! Fir instance, while cycling if someone writes me I cannot take a brief look at the message because the watch does not show it, you must wake your watch and maybe scroll to get the already disappeared message! This is ridiculous, you cannot setup in any possible way, even third party Notify for Smartwatches app did not help. The incoming calls do light up the screen though, but still WhatsApp calling contact is shown as unkown (even though it is in the favorites list). You cannot setup multiple vibration patterns for different apps, Huawei seems to limit the API for that. There is no smart alarm, sleep measurements make less sence as you cannot utilize them for easier wake ups. The weather card requires Location enabled, I prefer to turn GPS off at home via Bixby Routines to save battery and Mi Band supported inputting your city in the app for the weather info), no "Feels like" temperature shown. No calendar, no auto cycling sport detection...
My main question about Redmi Watch 3 is if they light up to show incoming message on the screen (with AOD disabled, wake up by tap)? Do they have a smart alarm feature? Do they support WhatsApp calls and do they show the calling contact properly? I expect to get more deeper setup possibilities for Redmi Watch 3 via third party apps as Xiaomi API seems much more open, but not sure if this will be the case.
You can configure the display to light up. There is smart alarm feature. Whatsapp calls will be shown, but the calling contact will not be displayed.

i just sold my huawei watch fit 2 due to inability sharing HR to strava, (i'm using iOS, so health sync app is not an option).

Which one do you recommend more, the Redmi Watch 3 or Amazfit GTS 4 Mini?

Anybody happen to know if it's possible to write and deploy a custom/diy app to the Redmi Watch 3 Active? I was hoping to code something in Flutter but it's not clear from my googling so far if it's possible to deploy to the Active (I know a bit about software development but nothing about smartwatch deployment yet).

@@TechMishka thanks for the reply. I sort of came to that conclusion too after some more searching and am now considering getting an old Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 for learning how to make a Wear OS app for it.
