One surprise about the Triton series is how high the crossover is from the midrange to the built in sub. This was confirmed by a New Record Day video I watched. Personally, I couldn’t tell much difference between the TRef’s and the 1.R’s during a dealer demo, but I’m sure you’ve spent much more time comparing them than I was able to

My friend, I'm thinking of buying a Triton one.r, I want to set up 5.1, but my room is not big, I'll use it in a small room, until I move to a big room, in addition, how do these sound with a single receiver? ?

One of the good features of the goldenear speakers and more so with the One.R and reference is that they’re extremely efficient, so they don’t need a lot of power to sound good. A receiver will do fine. Of course they’ll sound better with more power like an amp but we all have to work with what we have. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching

The Reference are "better" i.e. bigger and more expensive.
