There's one last OP method: In the latest update, the Power-up Chest is 120 Gems, and the gems you can get are 100-200. By quickly spam-opening chests, you can get LOTS of gems. I used this method and got 1000 gems in 1 min
Guys a way to get easy gems is open power up chests for 120 gems, as long as you have 140+ you will never run out,because the chest always gives 100 gems and always less then 200 so inbetween 100 and 200, however its complete chance and has a 20% chance to fail but if your lucky enough you can get 10000 gems within 1-3 hours.
it blocks all damage but only for one slug hit or hit.(depend on the slug power and ability health) Note: not for fusion shots. Fusion shot can only be blocked by fusion shots

use the water shield abitity on the elemental slug to block
An another was is to use 1higher level slug and use 3 other lower level slugs and play duel it can be easier and more gems
