It's really sad that Kagero are not recognised worldwide as much as other Japanese bands. I suppose they are quite raw and shocking to some people.

I suppose they didn't ever leave indie status so that might have something to do with it . I still love their music whether they are recognised or not . They definitely left an impact on visual kei , Japanese rock and Japanese metal. You can hear their influence on many early 2000's visual kei bands
