I honestly think we're selling Robert Mason way too short. There's a reason why George Lynch went with him when left Dokken to form Lynch Mob. I get it Jani was Warrant's leading man for a reason, but Robert is a great singer in his own right. All I ask is one time even if it's just one night only, Let Jani's younger daughter, the absolutely beautiful Maddi Lane come out on stage with the members of Warrant and sing all the hit songs that made her dad a rockstar. She is more than capable of doing it. Go listen to her sing "Heaven" It's on TH-cam!
True Story, I do a live band karaoke gig in Atlanta. One night Steven comes in, signs up for Still of the Night. He absolutely kills it, I couldn’t believe how killer his voice was. As he’s walking off stage, I tell him...”man YOU should’ve been the lead singer in your band” He snaps right back at me, looks me dead in the eyes and says “Jani is our lead singer”. It kinda shocked me a little bit in that moment but after a few minutes passed I was really impressed that he defended Jani like that. Hats off to that guy for real. 🤟🤓
My cohost and I interviewed Jani’s daughter, Maddi Lane on our 80’s rock show recently and played her version of Heaven. It’s amazing. Check out The Dave and Dave Show on KRMA Internet Radio every Friday night at 6 pm.
Yeah, she sang it on stage for the first time at Jani's memorial bash, none of these guys from Warrant showed up to support. Thought that was pretty shitty. 😠
Warrant and Poison were my first concert! I was 14, and was just blown away with the talent they had. They were fantastic live! IMHO , Poison wasn't as good!
I was 15 and Warrant/Poison was my first concert in early 1990. Warrant opened and completely blew away Poison. I loved the Open Up and Say ... Ahhh album, but was so disappointed in their live show. Warrant put on a MUCH better show.
@@bpace2509 I loved that album too. The first album I ever bought was the Look what the cat dragged in, followed by Appetite for destruction ! Once Warrant was around though, I was all over it!
I had the chance to c warrant live. I went but it rained out and warrant canceled this was on there cherry pie tour. I never got another chance to c them.
I met warrant and there ok the only ones really cool was the drummer and which I met yrs later Jani lane met him out by a barroom at the glam slam metal a tour with poison and quiet riot
Warrant Balls to the wall live epic best performance!

Great band…..great singer……rest in peace Jani…..we miss you!
They're absolutely unrecognizable!!!
lol ikr ... in 1990, I was young, thin and hot like Erik ... now I'm old, fat, and unattractive like Erik ...
@@groofoot you're not the only one. the only thing I keep from my younger years is long hair...
@@jvidalw lol yeah ... I had a mullet in 1990 ... now my hair is fairly short .... aging sucks!
Im only 30 but i think these guys aged pretty well. They look different, but still good looking dudes.
Love these guys. Warrant were so underappreciated!
Like em or not they are great live, probably the tightest band I ever seen live
Nice I love this band! Albeit they were the bane of my mom and dad, constantly telling me to turn my tape player down! Great interview :)

Metalsome 🎸🎸
In 1992 I met Jani and Joey in Houston. Both were really down to earth and genuine.

Maddi knocks it out of the park! 💪🏼

I remember jamming with warrant at Cleveland cafe awesome guys 🤘🏼
I met Joey at a NAMM Show years ago. Nice guy. Jerry's wife was a friend of mine but somehow I never met him. He was always busy.
Jani Lane put y'all's asses on the map, dudes, don't ever doubt or forget that.
RIP JANI ❤
Erik looks really good for his age.

Long story short...
What do you call a guitar player without a girlfriend?
Homeless!
I laugh at this since I dated a guitar player and his life was a train wreck looking for a place to happen!
Is the bald guy the one who had the one hair before?
Get him some shoes
When I looked at the thumbnail, I thought Drew Carey had turned into a retired rocker.
Did tequila shots with Eric turner and talkin shit on guns and roses backstage at warrant/motley crue Philly spectrum 90/91
Dude on the left sounds like liek Roseanne's husband
Tom Arnold. I can see it sort of
So Phil Collins was in Warrant? I'm so confused.
Metalheads in comfortable shoes!
