Just had to ask about the rear because I'm OCD about symmetry, but for the platform and purpose I get it. Probably best to do it right and not because OCD weirdness lol
I just picked up a set of VW 5x100 wheels and am looking for wheel adapters now. What would you say the chamfer on the rear bore of the adapter on rear and front needs to be to fit the stock e30 hubs? I'm assuming I might need to grind down the hub a little bit, but what would you say is optimal? Thanks bro! LOVE YOUR CONTENT!
+Mike Wagner drift life yo! But really I only am running the spacer for clearance. It isn't really noticeable. If I ever want to I can always add some to the rear.
It depends on the center bore of the wheels and the car; occasionally you can find wheels that have a center bore that matches your hub diameter, if thats the case you don't need them, but if the center bore is larger than the hub diameter you should purchase hubcentric rings that correspond to the two measurements
Got a quick question. My car has a wheel hub bore of 72.5MM and I want to run wheels with center bore of 73.1MM. Do you recommend I still run a spacer?
berty thirty looking some advice for a bmw 1988 325is for 16x8 4x100 for the offset of rims and or spacers.the rims I believe would have 20 mm offset for the ones I want to order. the same rim with 25mm offset wasn't close as the back of the rim hit the shock strut, I have factory suspension. looking to see what offset or spacers you would suggest.love the videos - thanks for your time - Andrew Enzo - insta
I think your front wheels are on wrong. The front right should be moved to the front left. The slots in the tire are currently pushing water towards the center but it should be pushing water out. Hard to explain without a diagram but the wheels need to be flipped around
+Jesse Cher nope, they are not a directional like the R888 or RS-3. I thought the same thing when I first ordered them but they just have an inside and outside no left and right.
Make sure to follow me on Instagram for behind the scenes footage and updates @blakesgarage
Favorite build on TH-cam right now
So much detail love it the break down of you vids are so helpful
You can tell the moment Blake took a nut shot.. Good thing his sidekick Bert was around to pickup the slack.. Berty30, I love it..
This is my current favorite build. Can't wait until you do the manual swap and start tracking and auto x-ing it!
+JJM yeah me either. I have a bunch of parts and big things in the works so stay tuned.
Another morning upload awwww yissss
Oooooo those are some shiny spacers 😍 wrench on 🤘🏻
Always enjoy your stuff. Grabbing a stud conversion off ecs and some 10.5mm for the front & 15mm for the rear for my 91’ 325i. Might put a video up.
Nice simple, but needed install!
The Berty30 has so many STANTS now!!!!
+IgnitionTube all the STANTS now
Do I need a hub centric ring if I use hub centric spacers?? Just making sure
Are the conical bolts necessary or do you think I could run the bolts OEM bolts
What kind of ambit wheels are those. What are the specs and the tire sizes
Did you just use spacers on the front? Or did the rear get kicked out too?
dthacker just on the front it was the only place that needed them for clearance.
Just had to ask about the rear because I'm OCD about symmetry, but for the platform and purpose I get it. Probably best to do it right and not because OCD weirdness lol
dthacker haha yeah I figure less rotational mass. But I do get the OCD thing.
What is 'factory' torque on those lug nugs?

Trust your knowledge. What are your thoughts on applying a bit of anti seize between the spacers and the hub?
Just Drive Good idea, if you don't take your wheels off often, it wouldn't hurt.
Thanks! kind of what i thought.
are you going to do a 5 lug conversion
why didn't you get 4? the front will stick out more the the back?
+Mike Wagner drift life yo! But really I only am running the spacer for clearance. It isn't really noticeable. If I ever want to I can always add some to the rear.
Blake's Garage I was just wondering. I follow you and like your videos I was just curious
Mike Wagner thanks Mike glad you like the build just trying to save weight anywhere I can.
ironically I just got mine in the mail today. but I'm going more of the stance lyfe as you already know
perfect shot
What are some other solutions, besides installing wheel spacers?
Itiachi1137 pretty much the only other thing you can do is buy different wheels.
Blake's Garage if you went +25 instead of +20 would you have this issue? Keep up the awesome vids!! 👍
I thought the hub centric rings were because it was a BMW. Do you need them on every car with aftermarket wheels?
It depends on the center bore of the wheels and the car; occasionally you can find wheels that have a center bore that matches your hub diameter, if thats the case you don't need them, but if the center bore is larger than the hub diameter you should purchase hubcentric rings that correspond to the two measurements
dthacker thanks for the explanation!
+dthacker boom 💥 nice job Derek!
What wheels are those?

indecline06 you can just make sure to run a hubcentric ring. Of your wheel.
I appreciate the fast response!! I'm looking at the O.Z. Ultraleggera's in Matte Bronze on a 1989 Zinnorot
What rims are those?Thx
Yeah, I wanna know too
What if one were to install their spacers with the tapered hub part facing outwards? One meaning me in this case...
+Alex Rodriguez as long as they're flat you should be fine. But it's really not that hard to correct.
Blake's Garage Understood, enough to cause some wheel shake?
What part of the country does Bert get his accent from? 😂
i wish they made these big enough for my subie

Jeff Campbell oh of course you could
Whats the guitar riff in the intro from?
Shade Tree a song called strings
How do you spell the wheels ?
Jash R Ambit RS18 15x8 +20 offset
Holy shit I didn't know Bert could talk!
+Jesse Carmichael oh yeah! You need to follow me on Instagram he talks all the time.
I'll get on that my dude

donate those tires Blake!
+Huntin_n_fishin 5280 they will soon be donated to the asphalt lol
Don't you mean your wheels Offset is +20mm not Backspace. Backspace on those should be around 5.25"
The true subscribers are now watching now that all of those subaru fan boys are gone
