Yeah that was disappointing. Another thing was the fact that they went assist mode on the second playthrough. Standard mode was easy as it is with infinite saves but now you just made almost everything feel pointless. I get they just wanted the story but then they could've just reacted to it. There's little difference between assist mode and watching a video with the cutscenes.

That ceiling licker is scripted to be aggro every time. A lot of speedrunners run past him on his left side while he pounces. For the rest of them, the stealth mechanic applies.

Playing as claire, literally in the room with the whiteboard with the lock answer and five minutes later at said lock and not knowing. Bangs head on table. Keeps trying to open the locker one floor above when the code said locker room, more frustration. Hanging out next to locker room, looking at the map, and never entering when the locker is RIGHT THERE! ARRRRGGGH!!! The going into the locker room to get the box and ignoring the locker you have the code for!!!! I give up. Another 20 minutes. FINALLY!
You were so thorough at first then the frustration put you in a hurry. i couldn't watch after you totally missed the flamethrower. i can't watch the NEST run minus the flamethrower, lol.
Hey Ken & Beth, just a side note here & I don't know if anyone has told you guys yet but the guy in the black hat & trench coat stalking both Leon & Claire in the police station is called *Mr. X AKA Tyrant T-00, a T-03*. Mr.X Tyrant sent to wipe out everyone at the police station and hunt for the G-Virus. A few tips here for you on best to deal when you encounter Mr. X: 1. *Mr. X is constantly hunting you!* Just because you may not see him where you are, he will be busy checking rooms, stairways, outside etc etc - basically areas you may or may have not been. 2. *Avoid him as much as possible.* Your best bet is tried hiding into the Safe Rooms you found as he won't follow you in there or let him lose sight of you if possible. You notice this as he stop & start looking around & for you. 3. *He cannot be killed outright with the weapons you have.* A few placed headshots (4-8 will do or more depending on what difficulty level you're on) with your shotgun or magnum will slow him down just for a few seconds - you noticed that he would stop and drop to one knee, use this to run the hell away & escape away from him. Rocket launchers/grenade launchers are best saved for boss/sub-boss battles - don't waste them on him! 4. *Don't bother wasting your handgun bullets either or using your Combat Knife on him unless you're really ballsy LOL* 😅🤣 5. *Running is a bad idea when you got Mr. X around hunting you! Sound draws him to you - so running footsteps, doors opening/closing, bullets shooting zombies, Lickers & zombies dogs means he more then likely knows where you are.* 6. *Walking is your best bet on him not showing up or knowing where you are.* Stay away/avoid from rooms/area with hordes of zombies/lickers where you bound to be using your gun to clear an room. The last thing you want is Mr. X coming for you while facing off against both zombies & lickers, right? 7. Look out for his music & his heavy footsteps - you notice how the music changes when he appears or is in the immediate area! 8. Most of time, he will charge walk toward you very fast angrily. This can happen should he see you e.g round a corner down a long corridor or a room he enter after searching for you. You best going dodging/running around him or turning around & running from him to a new area. 9. He's immune to zombies & lickers! He'll will basically shove them away/push em aside from him & lickers ignore him completely should they both be in the same area! Remember, he after you; he doesn't care about them! 10. Plenty of Herbs (green & red) & First Aid Sprays are must in your inventory - you don't stand a chance without them when Mr. X is around. .
If y'all haven't watched the four RE CGI films already, I fully recommend them. They're great. And they are set within the same universe as the video games. They are Resident Evil: Degeneration, Resident Evil: Damnation, Resident Evil: Vendetta and Resident Evil: Death Island. Although y'all should play Resident Evil 3 Remake first.
It was pretty fun but also kinda tricky when it came to solving puzzles especially in the 2nd runs and I tried beating it on Hardcore. It was definitely an experience.
Welp im about 5 hours in but ill just give a quick fun fact about Mr X's AI. How he works is that he's always moving around the police station after he's activated. As far as I'm aware he only ever teleports near the player for scripted events, but otherwise he's constantly tracking you down. What's cool is that the more noise you make, the faster he hones in on you and finds you. Standing still/Walking will take him minutes to find you Running will take him a few minutes before you hear his footsteps if you linger around too long Shooting will basically have him head straight for your direction and be there in about a minute
For some reason I barely saw him when replaying. I guess it helped that I had killed everything in the police station besides Marvin in preparation to run from him lol
Loved the extend long play through of this game you guides did. Why didn't you guys just mix all three herbs together instead of dropping the blue herbs?
Nice, I love this game. Wish you guys had played Claire’s route first tho because her route feels more personal and emotional (at least to me) than Chris’, her plot with Sherry brings a different feel to the game. Hopefully Capcom makes a RE Code Veronica remake in the future.

Better to aim for the legs than the head. Though for Marvin, I make an exception. He was a great guy & helped us out so much before he turned. He didn't deserve his fate. I always save a bullet for him. Because of the kind of man he was (an honorable cop who tried to save as many people as possible, who continued to protect & serve until the moment him drew his last breath) I know he wouldn't want to be one of those walking corpses, stumbling around, attacking & eating people. That's why I save a bullet for him. To put him down before he can harm others. A mercy killing. Better to be dead with a bullet in your head than a zombie.
aobut the library part when he was chasing you guys, i had a different strategy, i did run all over the map to the other side and then run as fast as i could to the lbirary taht give me enough time to do the stuff before he comes, basically i tried to dodge he.
Definitely one of the top 3 resident evil remakes. Playing both Definitely has its challenges. Leon gets the shotgun...claire gets the grenade launcher. Comparing it to the original ps1 game...its definitely night and day. But for a remake....its easily top 3

I don't really upload them but after having played through it several hundred times, I do things like knife only on most of the enemies or 9mm pistols only, etc. Love the game to death. I learned early to blast the legs. Headshots have a critical hit probability, so it’s not inconsistencies but rather like rolling the dice.
Blasting legs makes sense. More surface area to hit 😅
