    Love these videos. I miss living in Beaverton and now Orange County. The scenery is how I remember

      Glad you enjoy them! For sure it is not the same in SoCal, videos of the rain and snow on the way.

    I grew up in Banks and have been everywhere almost, between Seaside and Portland. Brought back many memories watching this trip. The Oregon coast highways have some of the most amazing views. Been across the country and back and moved to Arizona from Oregon at the beginning of the year.

      @@AmericanOutbackAmazing There's so many amazing places here in AZ, life is a little more affordable for me here than up in Oregon. I miss the trees and the ocean but overall it's been great.

    I used to live there, and I loved the way you drive from downtown right into the forest! The hills on the west side of Portland are actually taller than any in Seattle or San Francisco, but they are so covered with trees that you wouldn't know it.

      I want to go to the zoo and arboretum next spring, the views must be awesome for those that live up there!

    Thanks so much for posting. I’m heading there in a few weeks and want to become as familiar with the road and area as possible.

    Oregon is a very interesting state. I'm from Florida but lived there for several years for college. I remember driving from PDX to California and also from PDX to Idaho

    I lived in Hillsboro some years back. Have you done the TV Highway drive between Portland and Tillamook ? I am surprised those big stands of Douglas fir are still there.

    • @AmericanOutbackAmazing
      @AmericanOutbackAmazing  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yep, I have two I think. One was in the snow and another during the summer. Just search for Tillamook on my channel page and they should come up.

    It looks like an easy drive - thanks for posting this since I will be doing the same drive. How was cell phone reception?

      @AmericanOutbackAmazing  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You are welcome. Reception was good most of the way, I might have lost it in the valleys for a few minutes.

    In my eyes, Oregon is the most beautiful state in the Lower 48 states.

      I agree, after seeing more of it I think it has more to do than Washington state. It helps that there are less people there and still lots of natural areas left.

    The gas Sicking price I hope hurts drivers

    • @AmericanOutbackAmazing
      @AmericanOutbackAmazing  ปีที่แล้ว

      I miss the late 90's when gas was 99 cents a gallon! We just eat out way less when traveling now, probably better for our health.
