  • Join us as we venture to Seaside, Oregon! This is one of our favorite places to hang out on the Oregon Coast. Some many things to do, shops to visit, places to eat, all unique and locally owned. The beach is amazing with volleyball nets set up, wind is usually perfect for kite flying, and depending on the time of year, you may find a sandcastle competition, or kite flying competition, and in the past, beach volleyball. But don't forget about the peace and quiet; you can find that here too! Seaside, Oregon, a must visit on the Oregon Coast!

    I want to cry after watching this. It’s such a beautiful video to such an amazing place. I’m bringing my kids to see the ocean for first time, visit the place Lewis and Clark traveled to see (we’ve all been studying about them) we are so very excited. We are staying in Seaside for 2 nights so this video is more than helpful.

    The Cove is a few blocks past Avenue U. Nobody there would call it “Avenue U District,” as others have noted. The thing to watch out for is logs. Any log near the surf can be dangerous.

    I grew up in Seaside. Nice to see all the familiar places. What you call the Ave U district we called the Cove. Maybe you were referring to the whole end of town at Ave U.

    As a local its wild seeing a tourists perspective on the town. Just to say, what you call the "Avenue U District." Locals usually refer to it as "The Cove." In case someone was looking for that spot.

    enjoyed the video. will be cruising up to astoria, oregon in april and might consider renting a car and making the trip to seaside. however....i notice parking is really scarce. is it just my impression or do you find this to be so? nothing would be worse than renting a car, driving there and then spending wayyy too much time looking for parking. suggestions or would you just not risk this....

    • @seniorsnoops586
      @seniorsnoops586  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Sheri! There is a large parking lot near the convention center that sits less than a block off of Broadway. We’ve never had trouble finding parking as long as you get there before noon. It can get busy after that.

    Go to Seaside while it’s still there, one tsunami away from disaster

    • @richardrobertson1331
      @richardrobertson1331 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Everyone talks about a tsunami and they're serious . . . so serious they recently moved the high school to higher ground. The truth is a bad tsunami occurs about every 500 to 750 years. The economic tsunami is quite real, however. The town fathers have decided to encourage the homeless and punish the landlords. The business tax for owners of vacation rental properties was increased 500% last year and they encourage the homeless so Seaside now has the highest homeless population percentage in the state. Sad.
