Why is it incredibly saddening when ANY one of the ole Southern gospel quartet boys goes home to Jesus? I guess.....for my take on it,having seen a good many of these groups,I get the morose feeling that what you saw n heard one night wont be the same. All these good ole boys had wonderful personalities, very very funny, tell great stories, and its so sad to think you wont see them again. I remember when Jesus took Les Beasley in 2018,I couldnt get the Florida Boys beautiful song,"Where the Roses Never Fade" out of my head. Id watch their You Tube video on that song, over n over, tears aflowing. What a choir in heaven.....amen?
Buddy Lyles was great! I used to go to hear the Florida Boys sing mainly to hear Buddy. Even JD Sumner felt that nobody could sing his song "Lonesome Road" like Buddy (other than JD himself, of course . .. Hahaha)
Just learned of the passing of Brother Derrell Stewart earlier today,he was 85 years old,Rest In Peace to him.
Found this video about 8 years ago and learned that Les Beasley of The Florida Boys can also play the piano! Who knew? 🎹🎹🎹❤
Buddy Lyles could flat put it on the Bottom Line. Hallelujah !
