- By a stroke of luck, I was able to walk into a Rolex AD and purchase a Rolex Submariner (Ref. 124060) without any purchase history! It happened to be my birthday too, so it was a nice present for myself.

Your story is so similar to mine!! I was on a waiting list for 14 months and mine finally came in about three weeks ago!! I was gifted a Rolex Submariner Date about 20 years ago and sold it about 15 years ago. I regretted that decision ever since I sold it.
I vowed to get another one but this time I wanted the Submariner without the cyclops and the date for the very same reasons that you mentioned in your video.
I absolutely love the clean, classic, symmetrical look of this watch!! I will never part with this watch!! It’s absolutely perfect!!

No problem, I found your channel because I bought an 85 inch TV for the living room and decided to move the 70 to my patio and mount it on the stucco. Going to do that today.

Congrats on your sub! Nice choice by going ND. Knowing you removed one link, where does the glidelock sit for normal wear or how many notches do you see?
During normal wear in colder weather, the glidelock is fully contracted, so there aren’t any notches visible. When the weather warms up, or when I’m traveling somewhere tropical, then I usually adjust the glidelock by a couple of notches to accommodate the expansion of my wrist. Hope that helps! @@iBJanky I appreciate your kind reply. New subscriber here, and just clicked on the bell :) I have a 7.25" wrist and removed one link as well. Durning a normal day, I see two or three notches. I'm debating to myself if I should install one link back on, so glidelock would be fully in under normal wear. Not sure what is the correct way in terms where glidelock is supposed to sit for the normal setting. I'm hesitating because the clasp currenly sits dead center right now, don't want to mess that up. Is your clasp perfectly centered? I don't really want to go do a trial and error as I don't want to ruin the screws :)

I wearing my Rolex Deepsea today for 2 hours today I don't wear it that much it's 2 good of a watch it's a 2017 model it's 7 years old now it hasn't got 1 scratch on it because I look after it so much it's a beautiful watch I love it

I prefer the no date version because it’s the original design of the Submariner. Also I love the symmetry of it. It looks so much cleaner without the cyclops.
Although, some people prefer to have a date complication on their watches. I personally don’t use the date function much, so I opted for the original no date version.
In the end, it’s all preference. But you really can’t go wrong with either one. Both are amazing watches, and will serve you for a lifetime.

@@frankv7068 Hi Frank, I still have the Deepsea Sea Dweller. I have been using it as my main work watch. I was thinking of selling it though, since I have the Submariner now that can fulfill both work and non-work situations. I am still undecided though, haha 😅
@@iBJanky Nice, I have the Two Tone 43 mm and the Red letter 43 mm Sea Dwellers, that’s the sweet spot for me. Don’t sell the Deep Sea it will be collectable some day.
