I love how much Mark clearly loves doing what he does, and it shows in these figures. I really hope Hasbro plans on getting us *all* 13 of the Primes before they move on to another series.
All of the combiners are supposed to be the descendants of Nexus Prime. As he was the first combiner and it’s said that all who are descendants of him have the ability to combine.
The Aerialbots can be seen as an exception, since they and the Stunticons were brought to life by Vector Sigma, which at the time had Alpha Trions spark inside it. They have Nexus’ abilities, but Trion gave them their sparks
Tidal Wave did come with a built-in mini-fleet to use on Megatron and Metroplex came with a little guy who's name I can't remember (and a crapload of stickers). But I guess they decided that without Roddy, this guy was just a big Titans Return figure.
I gotta say, this feels awkward as hell when you have just the one guy sitting there revealing the product. Doesn't help that he's talking like Hasbro execs are directly behind the camera pointing a gun at him.

If you are talking brick-and-mortar stores blame the ordering people at the Walmarts, Targets, etc. They order direct from the factories overseas where it'll sit in a shipping container until the container is completely full which can take months before finally being loaded onto a cargo ship.
I do feel like that Vector Prime that we’ve received this year will be considered the one in Age of the Primes, he was basically a teaser for the upcoming line.
The figures are based on the G1 Aerialbots, but the toyline has its own story. This is made clear when ARMADA Red Alert is said to descend from Prima and ANIMATED Waspinator from Micronus. The line takes characters from other continuities and gives them a different context, like the comics, movies, and games do.
He's pretty good, but I can't unsee his vertical stabilizers being in the wrong spot anymore (for reference they should meet the rear wings at their base and not be mounted on the engines)
G2 Blue Grimlock was my first dinobot as by the time I knew the G1 toys were a thing, they were already out of stores and I was only 4 at the time in 1985 so I had to wait years later but loved the G2 Grimlock and cant wait to get the G2 dinobots in the upcoming years

One great thing about the new series is that they put a number of steps on the front side of the box. First, I love the huge amount of steps - the more the merrier. Second, stores in my country love to cover the crucial info on the back of the box with HUUUGE stickers, ruining the box and making choosing process much harder.

Zeta Prime was not the last of the thirteen-that's an alternative name for Sentinel Prime in the aligned continuity. The 13th is usually mysterious but in aligned was reborn as Orion Pax.
I really don't care if Zeta Prime was not one of the Thirteen Primes. The Thirteen is the mysterious Prime that we don't know who he is, and he has no name as well. So, I believe that Zeta Prime was one of the thirteenth prime.
They have to say it that way because they can't copyright "transformers" or "transform". It would open up litigation opportunities. It's brand legalese, get used to it.
Is it weird that the thing I'd most want to see to go with Star Optimus Prime is that unused giant fire truck Rodimus that would have combined with him concept?
And yet they continue to piss away money on things like EarthSpark as if kids seeing the better-looking toys for the adults on the shelf want the dumbed-down crap, kids aren't stupid.
Absolutely love these! AOTP seems like a step up from Legacy. For one thing, all the vehicle mode wheels are actually pinned it! Keep it up! And I prefer smaller Titans and less toys a year. Only qualm I have is no wrist swivels for Silverbolt and those gaps in his arms, and no opening hands for Superion. For Commander you gotta go all out!
Outstanding work and thank you for constantly upping the transformers game in terms of how good the figures are! Please at some point do all the combiners according to the G1 Toon and Japanese G1 toons but especially in this combiner scale Predaking and a 6 bot Liokaiser (plus death cobra) Do that and I'll be able to feel complete and loved when my time comes to pass away lol
I think it’s cause Wasp wasn’t really a Decepticon in Animated, reminder that he was accused of being a Spy for them, when in reality it was Longarm aka Shockwave, who was the spy, and he didn’t really work with any of the cons in animated, besides Blackarachnia, he was just an escaped Fugative in the show, with a grudge and hatred towards Bumblebee, I mean yeah he has the logo, but the bots probably put that on him, when they took him to prison to say “Hey, this guy is a Decepticon.” But he was mostly shown trying not to go back to prison and running from the Autobots
@@dimensiondefender3126 The Animated cartoon actually had the rubsign on Wasp, just like Lockdown, to denote his unaligned status. And just like Lockdown, he's a Decepticon in the toyline for branding purposes.
I still hate the idea of Optimus being one of the Thirteen. It makes him TOO special. Optimus should just be a guy who rose to the occasion when the Matrix chose him, not some predestined demigod. Making him always destined to be a Prime regardless takes so much away from what made him a great character in the first place.
That's why I don't like the whole mythologized Thirteen Primes origin altogether. It's so hackneyed, and I find the naturalistic origin more potent: the Transformers were created as a slave race by the Quintessons, overthrew their masters, but then turned on each other. Megatron was built as an ultimate Decepticon, Optimus was a humbled labourer who rose to the situation. Nobody are all-powerful gods or any of that dumb crap.
@@MonsterKidCory Personally, while I do prefer Primus and the the Thirteen myself over the Quintessons creating the race as a whole, I would have much preferred they take The Last Autobot from the G1 comic (who is described as one of the earliest Transformers created) and made him part of the Thirteen's main roster, rather than Optimus. That way, we can still have the Thirteen lore and Optimus is his own guy.
The statue of the Thirteenth Prime has some differences with the final Star Optimus toy. I guess you could say the two are different people, and that when Optimus gets the Zodiac, he gets the Thirteenth Prime's powers and takes his spot among the 13.

@Daminator11 Prime Wars Trilogy was terrible. The writing was a joke, the designs were a cheap cut and paste of the figures so the design team didn't have to put in work. The cgi was sloppy. The budget was barely there. And it shows. It was a glorified toy commercial and nothing else. Hell, I'm sure the series had nothing to do with selling the toys themselves because the show was that bad.

Can’t wait to get my hands on these guys (and gals) and see the other figures in this series. Looking at the pantheon lineup of the Primes gave me a product idea for 2026. I was thinking the next series be “Decepticon Hall of heroes”. Think of that scene in the 1986 movie where we saw the various statues of the Decepticon leaders. They would make cool new designs, have cool new weapons, cool alternate modes and their own Decepticon crypt and spark chamber. Think about it…?

I'll get Waspinator and hold off for SkyByte. Not sure how I feel about Star Optimus being basically a Commander class with lots of accessories; I feel that there isn't that much more plastic compared to Siege Jetfire.
Selling a Commander as a Titan has got to be the next benchmark low-point for the downscaling and up-pricing this franchise has been battered with this last decade. And it’s only gonna get worse next year ppl.
Well you see star convoy is between sizes of a commander and a titan where he is too big to be a commander but too small to be a titan but hey at least the prices of titans now are 150 in America

Im so excited to finally collect all the thirteen primes! Also, im hoping for S86 megatron he comes with his gun mode accessory from the Centurion drone pack. It's a good workaround to him turning into a gun.
For this line, im really hoping i can get Nexus Prime, like all his five components as seperate figures that can still transform into vehicle mode and combine mode. I just hope the completed Nexus is posable and is a sturdy figure and does not get loose joints
I have been a Transformers fan since they first started back in the 80’s! I still watch the cartoons and the movies to this day! I would hope that they would finally make a movie about the primes soon! Hasbro , Universal Pictures, & Marvel…. GET TO WORK! 😂❤
Motor Master was able to pull off the combiner kibble well. Silverbolt, not so much. You have to struggle to not see he's hauling a combiner skeleton behind him. Luckily Onslaught and Hotspot are also more well suited to dragging trailers behind them so they'll probably work out better.
Looking forward to Skybite, and Vortex. I just wish it had some more style and modernised, rather than just G1. And I plan to get the Primes as well. I'm hoping that when we get Onslaught, Bruticus won't have closing legs. And if he douse, they close from behind. Bruticus was always unique from most combiners.
How was Bruticus unique compared to the rest of the scramble city style combiners? And it's clear from the Superion we see here that the new way forward with these style combiners will be a skeletal frame that they attach onto, so Bruticus will have this feature as well.
@@kaindarkstar Bruticus had his legs as their vehicle form, unlike Menasor or Superion, which had generic robot legs with vehicle back kibble attached. Since he'll very likely be of this new skeletal style, best we can hope for is a front-facing socket for combination, unlike the aforementioned, which have been rear-mounted.
This line looks great, wasn't interested in the primes until TFONE, really like the look of most of these especially The Fallen, Star Convoy, Wasp and Prima. I can't wait to see Skybyte and Onyx Prime next.

Air Raid is actually an F15 Eagle, Slingshot is a Harrier Jet, Silver Bolt is a Concord, Skydive is an F16 and Fireflight is an F4 Phantom

They've already made the mini-con molds for Jolt and Wind Sheer. They're bound to do the rest at some point. It's just a question of how long.

I am glad his neck piece is transparent, that clear plastic on top of the mechanical greeblies is what makes the G1/G2 dinobot toys iconic to me

In my opinion, this feels less like another installment of the Legacy toyline and more like the missing installment of the War For Cybertron Trilogy.

I really don't care if Zeta Prime was not one of the Thirteen Primes. The Thirteen is the mysterious Prime that we don't know who he is, and he has no name as well. So, I believe that Zeta Prime was one of the thirteenth prime.

Absolutely love these! AOTP seems like a step up from Legacy. For one thing, all the vehicle mode wheels are actually pinned it! Keep it up! And I prefer smaller Titans and less toys a year. Only qualm I have is no wrist swivels for Silverbolt and those gaps in his arms, and no opening hands for Superion. For Commander you gotta go all out!
So much cleaner and quicker of a presentation. they need to do this from now on.
I enjoy when the designers go into details with the new releases, makes them feel more special. I am looking forward to Age of the Primes!
Outstanding work and thank you for constantly upping the transformers game in terms of how good the figures are! Please at some point do all the combiners according to the G1 Toon and Japanese G1 toons but especially in this combiner scale Predaking and a 6 bot Liokaiser (plus death cobra) Do that and I'll be able to feel complete and loved when my time comes to pass away lol

I think it’s cause Wasp wasn’t really a Decepticon in Animated, reminder that he was accused of being a Spy for them, when in reality it was Longarm aka Shockwave, who was the spy, and he didn’t really work with any of the cons in animated, besides Blackarachnia, he was just an escaped Fugative in the show, with a grudge and hatred towards Bumblebee, I mean yeah he has the logo, but the bots probably put that on him, when they took him to prison to say “Hey, this guy is a Decepticon.” But he was mostly shown trying not to go back to prison and running from the Autobots

I still hate the idea of Optimus being one of the Thirteen. It makes him TOO special. Optimus should just be a guy who rose to the occasion when the Matrix chose him, not some predestined demigod. Making him always destined to be a Prime regardless takes so much away from what made him a great character in the first place.

That's why I don't like the whole mythologized Thirteen Primes origin altogether. It's so hackneyed, and I find the naturalistic origin more potent: the Transformers were created as a slave race by the Quintessons, overthrew their masters, but then turned on each other. Megatron was built as an ultimate Decepticon, Optimus was a humbled labourer who rose to the situation. Nobody are all-powerful gods or any of that dumb crap.
@@MonsterKidCory Personally, while I do prefer Primus and the the Thirteen myself over the Quintessons creating the race as a whole, I would have much preferred they take The Last Autobot from the G1 comic (who is described as one of the earliest Transformers created) and made him part of the Thirteen's main roster, rather than Optimus. That way, we can still have the Thirteen lore and Optimus is his own guy.
The statue of the Thirteenth Prime has some differences with the final Star Optimus toy. I guess you could say the two are different people, and that when Optimus gets the Zodiac, he gets the Thirteenth Prime's powers and takes his spot among the 13.
Optimus in some continuities was one of the 13 but then became reincarnated as Optimus after defeating Unicron

@Daminator11 Prime Wars Trilogy was terrible. The writing was a joke, the designs were a cheap cut and paste of the figures so the design team didn't have to put in work. The cgi was sloppy. The budget was barely there. And it shows. It was a glorified toy commercial and nothing else. Hell, I'm sure the series had nothing to do with selling the toys themselves because the show was that bad.

Looking at the pantheon lineup of the Primes gave me a product idea for 2026. I was thinking the next series be “Decepticon Hall of heroes”.
Think of that scene in the 1986 movie where we saw the various statues of the Decepticon leaders. They would make cool new designs, have cool new weapons, cool alternate modes and their own Decepticon crypt and spark chamber.

The 13 existed in the 2000’s and were refined and fully canonized with TFPrime.

Not sure how I feel about Star Optimus being basically a Commander class with lots of accessories; I feel that there isn't that much more plastic compared to Siege Jetfire.
Selling a Commander as a Titan has got to be the next benchmark low-point for the downscaling and up-pricing this franchise has been battered with this last decade. And it’s only gonna get worse next year ppl.
Well you see star convoy is between sizes of a commander and a titan where he is too big to be a commander but too small to be a titan but hey at least the prices of titans now are 150 in America
Star Convoy is obviously much bigger than the biggest Commander and combiners and is 40 bucks cheaper than previous Titans, so bruh

Im so excited to finally collect all the thirteen primes! Also, im hoping for S86 megatron he comes with his gun mode accessory from the Centurion drone pack. It's a good workaround to him turning into a gun.

For this line, im really hoping i can get Nexus Prime, like all his five components as seperate figures that can still transform into vehicle mode and combine mode.
I just hope the completed Nexus is posable and is a sturdy figure and does not get loose joints

I have been a Transformers fan since they first started back in the 80’s! I still watch the cartoons and the movies to this day! I would hope that they would finally make a movie about the primes soon! Hasbro , Universal Pictures, & Marvel…. GET TO WORK! 😂❤
Motor Master was able to pull off the combiner kibble well. Silverbolt, not so much. You have to struggle to not see he's hauling a combiner skeleton behind him. Luckily Onslaught and Hotspot are also more well suited to dragging trailers behind them so they'll probably work out better.
Looking forward to Skybite, and Vortex. I just wish it had some more style and modernised, rather than just G1.
And I plan to get the Primes as well.
I'm hoping that when we get Onslaught, Bruticus won't have closing legs. And if he douse, they close from behind. Bruticus was always unique from most combiners.
How was Bruticus unique compared to the rest of the scramble city style combiners? And it's clear from the Superion we see here that the new way forward with these style combiners will be a skeletal frame that they attach onto, so Bruticus will have this feature as well.
@@kaindarkstar Bruticus had his legs as their vehicle form, unlike Menasor or Superion, which had generic robot legs with vehicle back kibble attached.
Since he'll very likely be of this new skeletal style, best we can hope for is a front-facing socket for combination, unlike the aforementioned, which have been rear-mounted.
This line looks great, wasn't interested in the primes until TFONE, really like the look of most of these especially The Fallen, Star Convoy, Wasp and Prima. I can't wait to see Skybyte and Onyx Prime next.
