Some interesting facts about the Triple Man theme :
- The theme was meant to sound "triple" in several ways, you could actually picture someone singing "Tri-ple-Man!" three times during the intro...
- After the intro, the theme builds up with three different parts before getting to the chorus. It also has a Mega Man V vibe, even borrowing a pattern from Neptune (Gameboy) along the way.
- This theme has an an ancestor version, "Mountain Man", that was composed a long time ago, and presented to MegaPhilX when discussing my collaboration with him on this project.
symfonikev was such a great composer for the previous game, I hope you will be able to fill such big shoes.
so far, im hoping these are early versions of the songs, if these are final then im indifferent about it. they don't have the same "kick" or intensity that the last games songs had, they're good on their own but worse comparatively imo
@@Ihazkirbro Agreed. I hope this composer notices the criticism and makes some improvements. This does not hit as hard as symfonikev's songs.
Maybe he should listen to some old theme songs to get inspiration for composing. I don't want to discourage him, but honestly, the trailer of MMU2 doesn't excite me as much as MMU1.

Honestly, I kinda wish his name was straight up “Triangle Man.” 8 letter names have been in canon since MM6, and Unlimited 1 had a 9 letter name with Whirlpool man!

This song is fine… it just lacks that punch that most Mega Man songs need. While it’s certainly acceptable Mega Man style music, it just feels… kinda hollow.
What is this "punch" you speak of?
Not every mega man track has a punch to it. (I'd say that Mega Man X needs tracks with punch over Mega Man classic)
In fact, maybe with the exception of 2, there are a few."punchless" tracks in every megaman game.

@@RaifSeverencebut i can say that i think it might be a matter of instrumentation and mixing with this track. Has this thing the mm5 tunes had where there were a lot of gaps of silence, specially with staccatos. The supporting synths seem to lack fullness and presence, like if their tracks were disabled. Maybe the lead synth font lacking punch is in tune to the motive of the level, but it does feel a little dull

Loved this song since it was showcased on Philx's twitter! I could imagine there being lyrics that go with it too, something like "3, 2 1, take it slow" at the start...
@@sirlancer_2 Thanks! Actually you nailed the concept right on, as when I was composing the song, I was indeed picturing someone singing "Tri-ple-Man", "Tri-ple-Man"... when the 3 chords pop in twice at the beginning! :)
very MM6 sounding
Interesting. I expected this theme to incorporate heavy use of triplets given whose theme it is. Still a sick track defying expectations.
