- Today Mazzy is back from holiday and a proper home cooked meal is well needed. So cottage pie it is, and at the last minute Mazzy also decides to to make quick homemade Yorkshire puddings too, which turn out fantastic.

Cottage pie I’d beef shepherds pie is lamb , but like you say we all call it shepherds pie. Hehe. Well at least I do. I cock. A saucepan lid on the pan when I drain off anything , it makes life a bit easier, and saves the accident like you had, which is annoying isn’t it. If Dans needs his veg , have you tried popping some veg water in things for your gravy it’s nice. Only little tips I learnt and passing on, please don’t think I am suggesting your doing it wrong. The finished dinner. made me feel very hungry. Hehe

Mazzy why don't you use your slow cooker more, you would save so much time and it cooks itself. You could have done the base for your shepherd pie in it then you you would only have to do the mash for the topping. Look forward to your daily vlogs. Xx

I boil two large diced onions in a pain of water with a beef oxo then blitz. It goes nice and thick then add it to the mince and peas/gravy
Hi Mazzy, you did a great job there, it looked very tasty and your yorkies were perfect. You do a great job for having a small kitchen. Just a tip for you if you get some more pudding tins don't wash them at all, just leave them as they are for next time
Mazzy that cottage pie looked so scrummy and with the perfect Yorkshire puddings just topped it off. I absolutely love both those but unfortunately I’m on a diet so won’t be having things like that for a while. I hope Dan enjoyed every mouthful. Love your videos.

I am exactly the same with carrots 🥕 i feel the taste changes when they are cooked, but I can eat them mashed up with potatoes or raw. One thing my mum showed me with the fat from the mince is to soak it up with kitchen roll as opposed to tipping it out, she also tends to wipe her frying pan with kitchen roll an reuses the pan unless it's really dirty as she said it keeps the pan in a better condition than constants using detergents.

an easy way to drain the fat away is just tip the pan a little and mop the fat on kitchen roll and far safer for you not getting burnt xxB
