- In today’s video, just ran a few service calls the day started with doing an evaporator coil and TXV swap on a carrier heat pump system located in the attic. While the rest of the day was a few service calls that were drain lines, which is one of the biggest problems in Florida air conditioning. so just cleared those drain lines performed a little SOP on the equipment. Just a double check everything and found that one of the systems condenser fan motor was running high amps
Hope y’all enjoyed the video if you could smash that 👍 button and SUBSCRIBE!! Appreciate yall 🫡

Good for you, sketchy, commissioned tech would have hammered h/o to replace “rusty” cap even if it’s within specs
The rusty cap crew gets me all the time 😂
Nice work man 😊
Thank you kindly 🙏 😂
Kool Video!
Thanks brother 🫡
JAKE bought some R410a in a white jug. You ever seen that. Says R410a on it.

Oh I figured ECM swap 😂
😂 big facts bro!!
In my previous house I built it in 96 had two of those Rheems. Made it close to 20 years before a compressor went out.
Riddle me this. Have you ever seen a 3 month old contactor stay pulled in with no critters or burnt contacts? At first I thought it was the blower motor as I heard refrigerant in the evap with no blower. I pulled the Tstat and the condenser was still running. I just replaced the fan motor 3 months ago and replaced a working 4 year old contactor while I was in there. Shut power and pulled the contactor and it seems to be fine outside the unit. Switched side seems to work and the coil was 17ohms. This one has me stumped. I have a couple Sureswitches laying around so I replaced it with that and all good. Maybe the switched side somehow got hung up? I did have continuity on the switched side before I removed it with high and low voltage off.
20 years!! That’s when they were making equipment the right way!! I would say check the voltage coming in, the amps on incoming power and if possible use a thermal imager on the wires to see if it were running hot, or even I not torqued lug! Could of been a freak thing, I definitely agree with the sureswitchs
Our AC is not keeping up; we were told a 2.5T was enough when it was time to replace our old 3T. No, it was not. I really wish one of you HVAC Kniggits was in the Knoxville / Oak Ridge area. Can you recommend a local HVAC guy I can trust? Filter is good, airflow is good (well, for an ECM). Wondering what the best fix is for our 2-section manufactured house...
Add a mini-split? Replace ECM with PSC and ramp it up? Higher RPM on the condenser fan? Charge is good; not icing. I wish I'd called bullshibbit on our ducts being too small for a 3T, but it's been a couple years so I'm hosed.
If I’m not mistaken Jake Porter is in that area! He is really good at what he does but not 100% if he’s there. He use to be on TH-cam but I think he got fed up with them. Did they perform a manual j or d to determine if that was the right size or not? Good luck brother.
Coming off of 8 days vacation and then 4-5 days being sick ! Got to get back at it Looking for the little yellow van now ! Nice
Yoooo!!! Hell ya bro much deserved 🫡 you’ll see it buzzing around 😂
Sooo just me take it for what its not worth ....diagnosis was bad txv the dye should've been addressed then .and the only option was a clean up repair and virgin gas .....i dont like/trust dye ...you know what it do .....yeeyee
Yooo!! 💯 on that bro. I didn’t diagnose, and not aware of what was talked about, but by the time I had finished everything that’s when I saw it and the damage … was done 😂 but I agree, crossed the T’s with customer afterwards to cover my 🫏
I agree CYA ....but whoever did had to have known orrrr.... didnt
Vote blue

Appreciate it Eddy 🙏
