Yeah, Sooyoungs visuals and stage presence owns this era. I sometimes joke that her visuals here are the best ad for Nike that I’ve ever seen.:) Actually they all have amazing visuals and stage presence here, but she still somehow stands out.
SNSD songs tend to have (empty) breaks for the fanchant. Idk if it's intentional, but most of the time, the fanchant "jigeumeun sonyeoshidae, appeurodo sonyeoshidae, yeongwonhi sonyeoshidae" fits perfectly.
i think you'll fall for sooyoung more when you start to know her personality
Personality and live performances. She's just so charismatic on stage. I actually didn't care for Sooyoung at all until I watched live performances and then she almost stole my bias spot then variety and acting skills came in and now Sooyoung is just one of my all time favourite idols

I just watched SNSD on Yoo Quiz on the Block. I miss them so much and I was bawling at the end. I love when Taeyeon said “SNSD is my nation. My country. I’m from that nation. Our athletes compete in the Olympics wearing our flag. Like that, I take pride in SNSD and I do my activities being a representative of SNSD.” Before that I was also thinking they trained just as early and as long as some national athletes (like 12 hrs a day for almost a decade). They will always be my OT group.
Fun fact: The reason you see the apple references in SNSD's "You Think" MV is because in Korean the word for apple and the word for apology are spelled the same, so it's a common joke that when you want to apologize to someone you give them an apple. How I interpret the apple references in this MV is that the apple with the nails in it is supposed to be interpreted as the girls are telling the guy " ... you think you're real cool ... coming to me begging for me to forgive you, but I am not accepting your apology." And the silver apple you see, I interpret as being like a led apple which might mean that "your apology may look and sound pretty, but it hits like a piece of led, with no substance and it sounds hollow ... it doesn't sound like you truly are sorry," etc.

I recommend snsd iconic song like gee and genie. The song genie was covered by iu, suzy, kim soo hyun ( its ok to be not ok) and taecyeon (2pm) in dream high which introduced me to snsd. And gee is the song that make snsd rise in popularity
