- The time has finally come! The Kitchen Makeover is underway…
After finalizing most of our design elements last week, we’re starting the makeover with prepping all of these cabinets for paint. Which is a big job.
First, I have to undo a lot of the stuff that I did during my first kitchen makeover (almost FOUR YEARS AGO!?) - taking down the peel and stick tile, removing hardware, etc. Then I need to do a lot of prep to get these cabinets paint-ready. Peelinv old paint, sanding, degreasing- it’s a big job.
Lastly, I added the new mouldings to the headers of the cabinets and it TRANSFORMED the space!
This is only the beginning, we have a ton of work in this makeover- but I’m so excited to get started?

Ok the livingroom wall is that dark blue and then if you paint the cabinetry a green color I think were the blue wall meets green cabinet is gonna look funky. Just my opinion. Your house do what you like. But you did ask for opinions, so....😊
Actually completely agree! I’ve decided to do something different with the blue wall- it’s been like that for almost 4 years, so it’s time for a change. Definitely want to go lighter. Great minds think alike… 😊
