It's a bit sad but true, I could watch your extremely skilled repairs all day long. It's not just your (seemingly) effortless ability with a soldering iron but also your vast technical knowledge . Thanks for allowing us to watch an electronic repair artist at work.
That aluminum tape is amazing, great application of it as protection.
D+ on the first visual inspection. Come on man, you are better than that. All the kiddos are watching! Straighten up and fly right.
2:09 the component still there , due to cleaning , at 2:11 the component is gone ... luckily not far
difficult job with thoose tiny pieces , but finally ... you did it ... thank you for sharing
Discovery Channel should start a show on tv with your repairs. I can stay all day to watch your repairs. Better than a factory!!!
I enjoy watching how you protect while you work.
Just an example of how microscopic these things are. Just for fun I was trying to find out when that filter was knocked off, at 2:10 after the second swab pass. The capacitor was missing already. Nice job and the tape tip!
yup. I saw that too. That can happen if you are too quick and the solder isn't fully hardened yet.
Given the amount of work you have to do each day I’m surprised that you always have a smile on you face have a great day 👍👍👍
Its amazing how people who know NOTHING about repairing stuff constantly attempt to repair their devices and end up in this situation.... Why they use so much force and cause FPC damage or missing parts, just bring it somewhere first and save yourself some $$. If you're capable, have at it otherwise it's beyond me. Great Job!!
Very good work. You are working with so many tricks, so many years of experience pay off. Thank you for that video
Wow very nice fix it really looks better then factory! always difficult when people try to fix their devices but knock of or move components which are so small... luckely you are very experianced with finding those things
Good tips for soldering with aluminum and kapton tape
Alex is the Master of Masters !
If only the customers realised how much damage they can cause. I show them how tiny the component is to repair so they can see its not easy when it goes wrong. Another brilliant video from you
After soldering 0603 size leds I know the finesse it takes to work with those size components. Nice work. 👍🏻
Honest fix. Thank you for sharing your mistakes.
The qtip seemed to tear that first component at 2:09. Great video.
good catch!
good job ! man you are connector specialist 😊
Thank you for sharing your knowledge, experience & techniques with us. Very much enjoy watching and learning from " Better than factory TV " 🤩😆
yes for sure we enjoyed it and got benefit as well;thank you
Great job bro I love your work and video
At least the 2 components stayed at - 1 dimension LOL.
if you check the video you knocked the filter off at around 2:06 when using the swab.
Love that smile of success!
great application of it as protection
Thank you for your help all the time
2:10 like a pass of magic... The cotton during the cleaning process Rip the filter off... Maybe the cliente weak the soldering points...
Capacitors usually don't matter. What about this one?
Better than factory ❤️❤️
Few years later: hey guys . We found another missing components 🤣🤣
Is this could be better done? I don't think so... So far as a subscriber only Alex do better than factory job
Wonderful job!
Nice one , the components are so tiny that you easily miss it.
Amazing technic use with silver tap and captain tap wow.....
Make it Kapton tape. ;)
How do you know which way to install an SMD capacitor?
Those are unpolarised, you can put them either way.
@@lgalhardo Good to know!
as always good job man
Great to sir you very hard to work and and making the world very happy when their repairs comes first before your family ! Just a kidding sir but it’s all always a pleasure to learn new things from the master ,and be better then factory?
great job, but only a question, why you dont use a trinocular microscope, you will get more precise

@@NorthridgeFix I really admire his work, I am also passionate about electronics since I was a child, I admire his way of working a lot.
good job mate.
Microscopic component being naughty lol
If the customer has tried to attemp repair his device , then you should always check for the knocked out components.
Very good friend, congratulations! ;-)
You put alumian tape under fpc connector and after you heat up or down ? the board ? And the fpc connector? Thanks
Why didn't you do the usual full visual inspection as before? I'm sure you'd notice it the first time.
You are amazing 👏❤💖💕💗♥👏
Fascinating job!
Such microscopic component easy to miss
Hi good morning sir
U r videos so good
When watching u r videos tension hin.
Short gon
The filter got knocked off at 2:10 while you cleaned the board. Are the factory solder joints that weak or is it because of the size of the joints?
Great job
good things it stay on the board.
What about a live stream? Is it possible?
job is done...👍
awesome job..
How do you rip off a connector when changing a screen? What did he use to remove the screen connector, a crow bar?
Thanks!
How do you get rid of the glare around 3:10? I always hear you say get rid of the glare and it magically disappears 😂
Make one videos on fixing donar board😆😆
Great video as always , however I don't know why you seem a bit off lately , hope everything is fine and well, always enjoy your videos
The man is WORKING HIS ASS OFF.
I'm sure he has days like everyone else where you just want to "geet her dun".
Great job 👏 👍 👌
Regards
great job
how the heck did he not rip any pads? wow!
can you do more iphone repair video’s please
Can you tell us which careers did you study to know all those stuff?
Why not heat it from the top? Like any other fpc?
Who do that lcd change? A prehistoric mammut? :)
Good Job
Better than factory. A little bit of headache.
How long does it take hot air to blow on fpc stick on the board? What temperature on hot air do you use?
جــــــــزاك الله خيرا
Sooo... you're saying it DOES matter after all if one of the 100 policemen doesn't show up to work?
This is not a bypass cap and not connected in parallel with other caps and not part of group.
احسنت العمل صديقي
good job
Hi hello. May i ask a question? Why you dont use rosin flux?
Awesome 👌
Awesome job bro keep rocking 👍👍👍
عمل ممتاز اخي بارك الله فيك.. 🌹Excellent job my brother God bless you
Sir what is that yellow tape?
I see it in every board
Hi sir i have an ipad pro 11 the fpc connector to charger port from the motherboard burned is there replacememt for. That or do i need to jumper it
Better than factory
Please told the soldering heat when you do. Thank you
I set the solder iron heat just at the melting temp of the actual solder I'm using.
Look up the solder melt temp and then set your iron temp to just below that.
If solder is not melting then turn up just enough.
ON large metal pieces on a board like a connector you might go a bit higher so as to heat up the larger metal posts.
Same for heat gun.
nicely vedio ☮️👍
Master!!!
Small things get lost easily...
Nice work
Always enjoy watching your videos
Just a question, how come you use leaded solder as opposed to unleaded? Is there an advantage?
Keep up to good work 💪
Leaded solder uses a low melt temp.
Lead free uses a higher melt temp.
If you want to keep from having to heat up the board area then use leaded.
When I first started working with surface mount components, I always used unleaded as that is how I was taught, to use unleaded for "Production" Boards. But.... You will continue struggling with the unleaded until you no longer want to work with SMD because it is a huge pain.
The factory has to use unleaded solder to comply with environmental regulations. Unleaded is hard to work with due to the higher melt temp. You saw the "blown off" parts on this board caused by the customer attempting to remove the connector. Leaded solder has a lower melt point so the risk of desoldering other parts in the area is less and it flows much better. Sometimes you will see Alex adding low melt solder (which has a lower melt temp than even unleaded) to remove certain components. He's a master at this work and a great teacher.
nice video
Awesome
👍👍👍good job
did you heat thr fpc connector from under or on it
"...beautiful. look at the soldering of the connector, better than the factory."
I’m looking for IPAD PRO 12.9 inch 2020 LCD FPC 36pin.
No one is selling them. CAN SOMEBODY HELP ME??? 😢
Great
Love your videos ❤️...
What is the hot air temperature under the connector and air flow speed and distance from the board?
It's a secret LOL
Did you charge extra for resistor and capacitor ?
He knocked them off while cleaning after replacing the connector, so I would guess no. Super easy to do when you've done a ton of repairs like this and you're on auto-pilot.
Or do i need to convert it and use some secret technique of and technician
Hi, can I ask how did u get rid of the glaze? Thanks
I would like to see his superior lighting system too. He has a ring light around the microscope and lights from the left and right. I think he turns off the ring light to reduce the glare bouncing back from the heated flux.
Good
Yeay new video
