    1. Can someone please explain what the GREATER GOOD is exactly defined to be.
    2. Who exactly is setting the moral standard of the greater good.
    3. How does ESG guarantee maximized returns for the long-term.
    4. Why should I relinquish my individual responsibility to do good and allow some vague group of people determine that for me?
I know, I know...." Shut up and get on board mister!!!"

You may not be sacrificing returns right now as people are still buying into these funds pushing prices higher, but eventually returns has to be driven by company fundamentals and just momentum of the ESG hype, so I expect people will be giving up some returns in the longrun.

Please also mention that ESG ETFs are 2-5x time more expensive in management fees, and when you compare this in long term perspective it actually plays a huge role.

So this is like a virtue signalling investment guide…that doesn’t even take profitability into account!!!
0:35 - “there is a third group of investors that use ESG who want to protect their portfolio from negative impacts” - this means bad press and exposure from woke media…!!!

The problem is that the bar to qualify as esg positive is too low. Yes the video is right but it's far too basic.

"you don't have to sacrifices performance while doing good"
What actually is the good I am doing when buying a ESG stock or ETF? With my money I buy shares from a seller, someone who wants to disinvest. My money goes to that seller, who maybe anyone. The company that issued the share is not receiving any money for investment. So where is the good I am doing?

@@tamtaratam Sorry. I really meant what firm offers the fund. For example, buying a Blackrock ESG fund is not going to be nearly as environmentally beneficial as buying one from say, Green Century or Walden or Boston Common or Trillium. The latter are smaller and more involved in actual ESG activism at AGMs and engagement with companies. Because they are smaller, whether or not you invest in their funds can actually make a difference to their solvency, whereas Blackrock will probably do just fine whether or not you invest in their funds. The activist funds a;so tend to be cleaner, whereas Blackrock's (or state street, vanguard, etc.) aren't.

Not as simple as Wolfie statement. It may seem like it is no longer a cold financial calculation and that esg muddies the water, but it's driven by people as always. Example: companies with good social/governance (correct accordingly) esg have retained more of their valuable staff during the pandemic as those treated well were more loyal in a time of crisis. These 'sustainable' esg values build companies in many other ways today - it is SUSTAINABLE after all - which you can see if you take time to research it.

This is what happens when you don't correctly educate the young.

This is why ESG cannot work.
