- 'Every Breath You Take' by The Police is a bridge too far for many players due to the 5 fret finger finger busting chord shapes. But fear not...I have put together this achievable 'simplified' version but WITHOUT CHANGING ANY OF THE NOTES! So what are you waiting for; download my 'FREE' idiot proof' left and right hand finger position charts and you'll master this classic riff in no time. www.bluenoteguitarschool.com/...
Thanks so much the first Time where I understood this intro. Big hello from Paris.
Love your since of humor, country folks can identify, ❤😊
Hallo Rob, ein riesiges Dankeschön aus Deutschland von einem begeisterten Fan, Deine Lessons sind für mich die wertvollsten bei YT. Mach weiter so, bleibt gesund!
Absolutely fantastic, I wish I knew about your channel years ago, best tutorials on TH-cam by far, thank you x
Feck me Rob, with a guitar in your mitts you could explain e=mc²😂
😂😂
Brilliant Rob every year or so I try to play the Andy Summers version and end up jacking it in because I can’t do it. This looks like something I can do thank you
I am so glad I found you. Your cheat sheets are exactly what I have been doing over a number of years by transcribing what I was learning from other on-line lessons. The fact that you provide them free of charge goes to your credit in trying to help budding guitar players learn. I'm 74 and past my bloom and giving us alternate and simplified versions is great, will save time, and allow me to expand my play list. Keep it up. I'll be watching and learning. Cheers.
Ah Rob, yet another genius cheat for us mere mortals. Thank you so much as always for your time and effort
I started looking at this when I heard you’d be teaching it this week. Must say you make learning it a pleasure! Much easier to follow watching you do it. Thanks Rob!
I just want to thank you for this, Rob. It couldn't have been easy to transpose this difficult song into an easy version with the exact notes. I very much appreciate it. 🙏
Your Alsome! Thank you for doing this for us beginners! Very much appreciated by this Lady on the Mountain in Pennsylvania
Great, great, great lesson Rob! You are THE best!
What a guy, you have taught me more in a week than I have learnt in the last 40 years of playing. I really appreciate your videos as I was getting stuck in a rut. It is unusual for someone so famous to be so unassuming.
I done Intel in the 1st job so don't worry about what I'm going to say on one of your tutorials i seen from your window a certain window of a neighbour of yours and it is exactly like my neighbours might be coincidence but it would be great to hear you are close I would pay for lessons.hope you don't think im cheeky but once trained its hard to get it out of daily life
Brilliant.Big thanks from an older Scottish beginner.
Thank you for the time you put into these lessons and making them approachable. Your humor is wonderful.
Another brilliant lesson Rob.Greetings from Dublin.
Man this is great! Why didn't the YT algorithm put you in my feed earlier? Love your approach. All of a sudden, this song seems within my reach. Thank you.
These tutorials have helped me more than anything. Reading Julia's Banjo and love it.
Yet again, really fabulous, and doable, 👍👍👍. Much appreciated
Once again , thank you for taking the time, Rob .
Thanks Rob, great tuition, lovely tune, wonderful humour!
Thank you Rob for a great tutorial and your valuable time. Cheers
Wonderful, Rob. Thanks for everything.
Brilliant...!! I have learned so much ...And am really enjoying getting over the plateau with my playing....Cheers.!!
Absolutely brilliant can’t wait to work my way up to being able to do this 👍🤞🙏
I have stopped learning another version of this and changing to your tuition. Thank You.
Wow, what a great practical lesson for a great song and riff.
Thanks
A good one but taxing my brain to keep it going, picking a bit differently in each position. Almost have page one memorized, but still slips away when coming back to it. Relieve the challenge by going to a more routine piece, like Travis picking Van’s “Have I told you lately”. My wife loves it! She’d like this one if I can get it down!😊
I know what you mean- I struggle too with irregular picking patterns rather than a regularly repeating pattern. I don't know what we can do. Practice I suppose.....
Fantastic lesson. Many thanks Rob🎸❤
Another great tutorial...thank you so much. Your technique is so understandable...
Excellent tutorial! Finally a version of a great song that is achievable for us mortals. Don't if it's because I've been following your finger style lessons but I find this much easier to play in the finger style.
Love this method, mate. Thank you!
Great tutorial, Rob. Downloaded PDF. Can’t wait to get started on this lesson. If I see you in town. I’ll buy you a pint.. 👍
Great lesson Rob thanks Colin really look forward to your video's
I love the logic you use, and immediately hit the subscribe button!
Another brilliant lesson Rob thankyou
Amazing tutorial. Thanks for the free download. 🙌
Genius Rob!!!!! gonna try this ...thanks a lot .
Great, a nice way into this song Rob 👏
Thank you so much! You are much appreciated!
Thanks, Rob well explained great channel by the way.
Amazing tutorial
You are a god send bless you. Cheers M
Cheers Rob 🙌👍
Once again, a really enjoyable tutorial. Thanks Rob. Don't stop what you're doing. Cheers. Ps. There's an easy way to play Led Zeppelin's Rain song, without re tuning your guitar too. 👍🎸👍🎸
Another cracking lesson Rob , I’ve downloaded both & hope to work on getting the big stretch ( takes me ages ), I struggle remembering what strings to play without having all the sheets in front of me , but I’m practicing more so here’s hoping I get it , thanks for all your hard work
Awesome, bloody love it. Jeff NZ
Thanks!
bloody great lesson.
I am one of the many who have tried in the past to try to play this the "Summers" way and given up !!!!!!! Just down loading this now.Thanks.
Great tutorial!
Thanks for the lesson. I’ve never been a big Police fan, but still want to learn this song because my wife likes it. Your method now makes it doable. Also, I agree with your comment about playing clean. A wrong note sticks out. I guess that forces us to practice more on this piece. 😂
Many thx..Holland
Thanks Rob. Your approach and channel are great! As a semi-retired professor of microbiology, I’ve blown the dust off my guitar. Your lessons have put diversity, enjoyment and motivation into my progress. Might you consider a bluegrass, flat picking piece, or have you one in the archives? I like your “8 out of 10” proficiency on most styles, not a virtuoso on any one style! Have you prep’d a lesson on one of your own songs? Maybe one from your CDs. Thank you!
Hi Eric, re flat picking check out Ragtime Boy. I did a tutorial for it a while back. 👍🏻
I just wish I could play like you Rob, I keep trying but sound nothing like you in any way shape or form.
Thanks! I am the Fretting Farmer from Canada-Carseland Alberta to be exact. Usually I'm like Brian Adams-outside freezing my balls off. I do take a bit of time to fool with my guitars and really enjoy your lessons and humor. After watching a bit of the live stream don't forget-Behind every successful man is a Surprised Woman. Thanks again-enjoy
Cheers, thank you.,👍🏻😎
This is a good one. Challenges the left hand chording, the right hand “plecking” (where does pleck vs pick originate from? I’ll use them both!), and the rhythm/intonation. I like it; might take a bit to get there but that’s what practice is all about! Thanks!
Fantastic. Am still working on the blues finger picking....which I hope you do the other bit soon, but will be trying this after Hotel Cali.
👍🏻😎
Thank you for the excellent lesson and charts!
Super
Awesome Rob 'You da man' Thanks buddy for your ultra-eloquent and much appreciated guidance. Had a few laughs already going through your instruction. Now don't go sitting on any corn cobs..😅🤣
Great lesson thanks - finally gonna give it go … now where’s me corn cob
Rob - What a brilliant solution for the Eb and F! So enjoyable to be able to play the whole song - ok if I share your link to my guitar group?
Share whatever you like my friend. 👍🏻😎
I will keep plugging away Rob
Can you show how to play loving arms, by dixie chicks
how do you feel about doing "Thank you for talking" by Hall and Oates? Its quite an old number but its really mellow.
Rob, Moving through Every Breath……,the middle part C7 has four picks on the G string. The middle two are noted as off or on. Are the first and last on? I assume so since C7 is on but wasn’t sure. Thanks!
As a child I gave up guitar because I couldn't play this
C
Talk too much,sorry
Thanks
