    Nice to see you wet the base before compacting. So many guys dont realize you're not going to get anywhere near 95%+ compaction if your aggregate is dry.

I didn't get to do it very long and only got to do some demo and digging mostly, so I never got to learn what the process is and all the tools that go with it.

    Awesome video!
    If the concrete is wet, and kept wet, what is the "tell" that lets you know when to remove the forms and prevent damage?
    i only ask because i recently tried casting concrete in a form for a personal project. I kept it moist and after i thought it had cured, when i removed the form, the concrete cracked and was surprisingly still wet. If i had known how much moisture was left in the concrete, i would have left it alone for a lot longer

    • @OdellCompleteConcrete
      @OdellCompleteConcrete  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The water is to slow the curing process.
      Not to add water to the wet concrete.
      Stripping is usually done after 24 hours

    • @hanselsanchez2069
      @hanselsanchez2069 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      So if the weather it hot the concrete will dry out quickly and you can pull the form out the same day if not you can do it by next day. ✌🏼
