Join Tim and Tylers crew as they pour concrete at their landlords house! We turn this old beat up driveway into a beautiful revamped concrete driveway! WEBSITE - www.OdellCompl...
Weather bonus plus wages are high here, too. Depending on how close you are to the coast a basic house is crazy expensive in So Cal, as this is evidence of. Thing is, if you are within like 5 miles of the ocean, the temperature is really steady. Rarely too hot or too cold.
Dave's basic tumbled glass garden paver video prompted me to pour a fanned out walkway with green tumbled glass in green dyed cement and I can honestly say that after 2 years later its holdin up like a champ. I put Ghost Shield wear-tek 4400 over it which makes it look wet yet the surface is abrasive from the tumbled glass (tumbled not sharp) . Wear-Tek 4400 sealed just fine over the tumbled glass with no flaking or discoloration at the 2 year point thus far. Obviously surface prep at time around fresh pour will always give the best results on any sealer. Carry the family torch with pride.Dave has been around the block a few times no doubt. He gave me that "tumbled glass" idea and man did it stick !!
What would you pay for good outdoor activity weather all year with no bugs? Near the coast, winter low is probably averaging 50° and a summer high probably averages 85° with low humidity.
The old asphalt driveways held up until people started applying seal coat from the hardware store every year, causing alligator cracking (and they still do). Nice job on this!! Too bad about that truck in the way!!
Dannng Shane was workin hard on demo day 💪👍 Nice job crew. Surprised the concrete went off, it looked like a wet slump but maybe high psi? Or just a hot day
I can't believe the neighbor didn't move his truck for at least pour day. Geez, his property just got a significant upgrade (both aesthetically and functionally) for FREE!
You guys ROCK! Your work is impeccable, but million-dollar homes in Cali are way overpricated. That house would be in the low to mid-300k area of Ohio.
Maybe that bonk on the head (with the light weight aluminum pole) did you some good? At least you didn't cry like your brother would have! Kidding. I appreciate the music choices.
That house NEW back in the 60's was probably $20k. We have one in La Mirada that was $16k back in 1959 when built. Now worth about $800k and we STILL have the asphalt driveway too! Currently renting it out for 4 years while cruising the country in our RV. If you're still around when we get done travelling we will have some work for you :)
Nothing like turning your whole yard into a concrete slab. This is why major metros aren't cooling off at night anymore, just one giant concrete jungle.
@@OdellCompleteConcrete OK, I see. I was seeing the big chunks of the walkway PCC and forgot that the driveway was AC. I have noticed that you often have big concrete chunks and have wondered if you typically recycle.
To each his own. I think you need to diversify your news, though. Saying California is the worst state possible is a pretty ignorant statement when you consider our per-capita longevity, health, education and other metrics. We genuinely get what we pay for. Yes things are expensive and our taxes are higher than most, but it isn't easy to have this many people living somewhere and still have a clean environment. I remember when it wasn't as clean and it was bad. Much better now. No smog. We also have pretty good wages for both the trades and professionals. We have our issues but I think most people would be happy to live here if they could afford it. Awesome place to raise kids. Outdoor activities abound and there is a lot of public land for recreation. I don't care what my neighbors politics are as long a they aren't shoving it in my face, which has been a problem the last 8 years but will hopefully settle down in December. I ain't leaving, that's for sure. Every time I travel back east I can't wait to get home. I feel bad for young people trying to start out here but I'm confident we'll figure that out at some point and get the nimby's to chill out. Tough to get into a place unless you have family help or dual income good jobs.
Wow California and their ridiculous real estate prices…$1m for THAT? That house here would be $189-$209k all day long
First thing I thought is 'what a dump'. A million? NO.

Hard to give it away
The value is in the property location, not the house itself. Cost to rebuild that house after a disaster is probably no more than $400,000
There is an unholy alliance with liberal government that wants more taxes and real estate developers 😮

Awesome
I have the same thing all around my house. 3 years later, it still looks like new .
Thanks to quality sealer
Your Dad had a few videos on how to make those decorative concrete pavers. Very interesting.
Yeah guess they had the same idea in the 60s
How is this house worth a million bucks ? 😂 California is like another planet. Correction is coming.
It’s the land that is worth $$$$
Bingo
I was shocked too!❤❤❤
Ya that's a $70k home in my neck of the woods.

Damn they calling that a million dollar home? Glad I dont live in Hunington beach California. 😂😂😂 im jk much respect
Yeah it’s tough living on the coast. Everything is 10x more expensive
I can't believe the neighbor didn't move his truck for at least pour day. Geez, his property just got a significant upgrade (both aesthetically and functionally) for FREE!
Yeah it made the job a little tougher
Y’all did a beautiful job, as always! I love your channel!❤❤❤
Thank you so much!!
Any chance you guys can come do some work here in Menifee? Need concrete, pergola, and retaining wall.
sure

Great Video! What would have happen If you couldn’t get a broom finish on the last sections would had to tear that part out ?
i don't know what it is but for some reason watching demo work seems to relax me even when i do it myself
That’s a 140,000 dollar house in my state
$7.25/hr wages, hurricanes and tornadoes valley
@@Truesdale22I don’t have any of those in my state and that house is $180-$225k.
THAT'S a million dollar home? Lol.
Have a good weekend bro 😏 🤙 🙌
Good work guys
Thank you
I take some occasional nasty weather to save 800K anyday. Looks like a tiny house.
Me too and I am
Another great job L.D. aka Lil David,😛
Haha Ty 😁

They let you mix asphalt, concrete and dirt/grass in the same bin? WOW!
did you charge $60.000 for that concrete job too if that house was a million dollar...?
A million dollars for a wood panel shack!
Yes
The concrete looked really wet, nice joob mang👍
Thanks 👍
That's a normal price for the area. Milion doesn't mean what it used to be 20 years ago 😂 smh
Nothing like turning your whole yard into a concrete slab. This is why major metros aren't cooling off at night anymore, just one giant concrete jungle.
Disgusting dump not even worth $300k. No way it’s million. Explain how a family of four can afford this dump?
That’s not a million dollar house I would expect it to be much bigger but I guess California houses man!!
Driveways should ALWAYS have rebar 16” inches on center. Sidewalks and patios you can go 18” or 24” on center.
No way
@@OdellCompleteConcrete ask your Dad, he knows

Oh wow this is big
Boom
If this it’s a house for 1 milion 😂😂my house value 9 million 😂😂😂
Soory you can keep CA.
I concur
how water resistant is the drive?
Very good
No job too big or too small, always awesome to watch the brilliant team work and getting to see the finished product. 10/10
Seriously they are $1,000,000 houses 😮
Yes
All houses in CA are million dollar homes 😅
Million dollar house my ass!
This is CA.
homeowners could use a pressure washer, sheesh lol. I paid half that for my house and I at least make sure to keep it presentable and clean.
Great tip!
No way the houses in that neiborhood and the house your working on go for a minimum of a million dollars
Get your own house and stop dealing with landlords lol
Maybe someday
Bro, it's CA. barrier to entry is 750k for a 1200 sq ft 2bed, 1bath built in 1930.
You think you will buy a house soon rather than renting?
not with these prices
👍
Good music 🎶 🎸
How are you able to get inspections so quickly? I read that the inspectors in many cities are very slow in getting out to "inspect" and approve.
No inspection needed
What size is your funny float. (Not funny trowel). Im making a funny float and thinking of cutting it a 14x5. What would you recommend?
Whatever you think you handle
❤❤❤❤
I have a driveway like that, maybe worse....
Do you recycle your concrete? I have to break them into 12" pieces to recycle and I see that you are mixing your dirt, grass and concrete waste.
Not much asphalt to salvage.
It's heading for a land fill
@@OdellCompleteConcrete OK, I see. I was seeing the big chunks of the walkway PCC and forgot that the driveway was AC. I have noticed that you often have big concrete chunks and have wondered if you typically recycle.
It is too bad that they didn't consult a landscape architect or a designer. Now they have an uninterrupted expanse of new concrete.
No worries, parking and housing is an issue here
Expansion joint??
Control joints
