Vientos is a young developing player and it is wrong to not give him opportunities because of last year. Developing players improve year by year and he should be given his chance.
A note, Garret is tied with A.J. Minter from the Braves in wins.
My problem with vientos is that he doesn’t walk and he’s a butcher at 3rd base. Baty has been solid defensively and even when he hasn’t been hitting he’s drawing walks. I also think him hitting 4th or 5th was a bad idea. While he was hitting good the problem is you get pitched way differently in the middle of the order. He should hit 6-8 in the order depending on the matchup.

Why would the Mets refuse 30 home runs of Vientos for Bret Baty's defense. Do they really believe that Baty's defense is more beneficial than Vientos home runs.

Why do the Mets prefer to sign players at the end of their careers above playing their young players that are good. How many of them have been traded away only to become stars on other teams.
