Excellent tutorial!!!! Our Silgranit sink is 20 years old and is showing signs of deposits from our very hard water. And it's great to know that Barkeeper comes in a liquid form.
I had one, and would like to get another in this house. Mine was always clean, I'm rather a stickler for cleaning sinks every night. I had heard that a little olive oil to polish it up was a good move. I'm eager to see yours.
You are welcome. These sinks look so good when they are all clean and polished up. We used Weiman's to polish but you DO NOT have to go out and buy another product. You can polish and condition them with some food grade oil and a paper towel.
Sarah, I haven't seen you clean it. But I have some cookie sheets, bottom of pans & casserole dishes with brown crud attached to them. I tried Cascade different pods, no go.
Our official reciepe is 1 cup vinegar 2 tablespoons of dawn but don't over think it. If you put a little more or less of either it will still do the trick. bleachpraylove.com/gocleanco-basic-recipes/

Any adjustments for a white silgranit sink? Pasta sauce immediately leaves a stain. I have to use soft scrub with bleach to get it white again but it’s probably too abrasive. Also nothing I’ve tried will get rid of a small rust spot from an old pizza pan that was left in the sink overnight. Builder told us the sink was rust proof and stain proof… smh
I have a white silgranite sink and use this method. Do you know what brand yours is? Mine is a Blanco, and I know they are bleach safe. Have you tried Bar Keepers on the rust spot?

Thank you for this! I have this sink and didn’t even know what kind it was or how to take care of and clean it

When you say food grade oil, are we talking about mineral oil or cooking oil?
Thank you for this!! Can this method also be used for a white enameled cast iron sink?
Do you have a cleaning method for granite counter tops?
You explain things very well thank you. 😊
Where did you get your amazing green rubber gloves from? They look very durable 😊

Have you tried Barkeepers friend? I have cleaned some burnt on crud from some pots and pans with that.
@@gocleanco Liquid right? I have powder. I'll use powder. Does work I'll buy liquid.
Is Weimans food safe? I had no idea 😊
What ratio of dawn and vinegar?

Yes mine is Blanco as well. I will try Bar Keepers!
My sink looks clean when I finish but as it dries, it gets a whitish film on the sides. Would the Weimans deal with that? It drives me nuts. 😀🤦♀️
Try polishing with food grade oil first. It works great and you don't have to buy another product.
All the oil does is cover up the white to make it look black. It doesn't take it off.

All you did was cover up the white with the oil to make it look black and shiny..
I think that's the point. This material's surface pobably discolours due over time, no matter what.
@@balazsbanhalmi it's stone. You can only clean it with diamond scrubbers
