In all fairness, at the end of Dusttale, Sans is even stronger than the human, and if they were successful in killing them, would've become completely unstoppable, now with full control over the timeline.
Hypothetically if Tricky were to fight a Dust Sans that succeeded in killing Frisk, it'd be a much harder fight.
