Never saw this song coming, but honestly it’s probably the best erect remix I’ve seen come out from the community. It takes the original song and cranks it up to an 11, while adding in bits that weren’t in there before. 10/10!

The remix makes it feel like its more opposing and aggressive, making this fit and the song is a banger. and has times to have its slow moments, This is better than the original

Man that was super awesome, I love how you chose to use the hard mode megalovania motif in this song.
The one critique I have though is that in the erect remixes, Boyfriend tends to lead the song rather than the opponent and creates new melodies that branch off from the original track. I did notice him do that in the middle and towards the very end, but I would have loved it even more if dust!sans started off leading the song but Boyfriend pops off and has him on the ropes and basically as backing vocals for the rest of it.
Regardless, the song itself slaps and you did a great job with it. I just think it fits more as like a b-side/harder mode remix type song than an “erect remix”

South Erect - th-cam.com/video/85rufkoFmUk/w-d-xo.html < BF leads his own melodies at 0:42 until 1:07, 1:27 For the rest of the song, Skid and Pump for the most part back the vocals while BF does his new melody again.
Everyone says it because it's a true point. A lot of 'erect remixes' tend to accidentally make it something like a regular remix, or a B-side (Even if it still sounds good).

I feel like it's specifically like that in vanilla FNF to give the player a hard time (like ERECT remixes are supposed to do, their primary goal is to be a lot more difficult than the normal variants), so as long as it does that, which going based solely off of the vocals in this remix it absolutely is, I don't see why it can't be a serviceable ERECT remix.
Sure, BF leading the song or free styling is a nice change of pace, but I think it being the case for all ERECT songs would get really fucking old, really fucking quickly.

You might as well call it B-sides D-sides or whatever (ERECT does sound cooler tho) since their purpose is to give the player a hard time as well (though in vanilla, ERECT also gives it a unique spin), it's basically calling a music category that have different purposes the wrong title

@@paperj722 Yeah, I guess that's fair enough, I mostly call it a "fuss" because sometimes the creators relapse on their judgment and rename their uploads as such.
In one particular case, a creator of a Triple Trouble ERECT renamed it to "B-Side" after another ERECT remix came out. Which is fine, nothing wrong with acknowledging someone has outdone you in your eyes, my problem with it though is that the actual "ERECT" remix sounds.. So much more low energy. And the only reason I can think of why it's recognized as the "real" ERECT remix is because as you said, BF leads/free styles and the opponents rarely follow suit, but that just gets overshadowed by the empty feeling of the instrumental. (To me, at least)
I'm all for ERECT remixes following the "official" style, but considering I've yet to see a fan-made one that keeps the high energy of an ERECT remix, I much prefer *this* style.
While this song is an absolute banger that I have listened to on repeat, I wouldn’t exactly call it an Erect remix. Those are often classified by BF dominating most of the song and branching off into pop-offs of their own. Given that you’ve acknowledged as much, I feel that just titling it as a Hard Mode remix given the motifs used and the design change would really suit the design. Still an amazing song, though!
