Great informational and educational vid. I especially appreciated that tidbit about fishing around the crab traps. It's A great feeling successfully scouting and fishing A new Area. Another thing is as I'm getting into the sonar game. It is hard to find anywhere on youtube of anyone using it to Inshore Saltwater fish. I think that could be a great opportunity to exploit. Awesome vid bro!

It amazes me how much you have educated yourself in all aspects of fishing. You have covered everything. I respect the time and effort put into your craft. I can see and feel your excitement when catching. I learn a lot from watching and listening to you. I’d say keep the lines tight but you are on top of that!

Thanks! It's always good to learn new things about fishing and share what I discover. I think I'll always be a student of the marsh. Thanks for watching.

I appreciate the video and opportunity to see other locations, i.e., in Lake Raccourci and Lake Merchant. That doesn't appear to be too far of a run from Lake De Cade and opens up so many additional fishing spots. I am not familiar with those areas and would like more information on not only winter, but spring and summer fishing techniques for Lakes De Cade, Raccourci, Merchant, and area. Thanks for the videos and please keep them coming.

Then you will really want to consider joining LAFB Elite. Of course I would say that, but that's where I teach everything you just listed. Patterns are patterns. Learn the process and apply it anywhere you cast a line. Thanks for watching.

I love it. I threw some freshwater baits this weekend to catch trout. Straight tail baits. Used for strolling in the bass world.

Thanks for inspiring me to check out new places. I’m going to definitely work on that this year. Venice and Dulac are on the to fish list. I’ve pretty much hit every yak able spot prior to starting my TH-cam, hitting up those spots again will definitely be added to my video repertoire this year.

Seems like a popping cork gets their attention “activates” them moves them in from a further distance IDK lol. But even with them hammering that cork, why not hit other baits? lol. Enjoyed the video man!

I’d like to see all of our local fishing content creators, travel away from New Orleans. Spread the fishing pressure out some. I fished yesterday, even with 40° temps and 20mph wind there was still a ton of boats out. I guess they are doing the same as me, avoiding that long drive from home idk

I don't think it really works like that. Most people are resistant to come out of their comfort zone. They knew their few spots and tend to stick with them. The areas you're talking about have *always* been pressured. You could delete every content creator out there and people will still fish those spots because they have since time immemorial eons before TH-cam and Facebook. Before The Wall it was the Hot Water Canal. Even when the ship channel was open folks still fished it. Old timers usually chime in to tell their stories of what it used to be like. The good news it that it's never been easier to punch out and go somewhere new. This channel illustrates that reality.
I know you have punched out to new places, so good on you for doing that. But there's still a lot more out there to explore and discover, even for me.

Did they guy collecting the money at the launch give you a hard time for being out of town?

    • @LAFishBlog
      @LAFishBlog  21 วันที่ผ่านมา

      How would he have known?
And why would he? Does he hate money?
Don't you think that running a marina he wants to sell gas, ice, drinks, lures and a backdown? C'mon guy.
Of course everyone at the launch was awesome. I've said that in the last video ad nauseam. People in Dularge and Terrebonne Parish as a whole are great.

@@Salty_Traditions Well, I hate to hear that. I'm sorry that happened to you. Don't let one bad apple ruin the whole crate for you.
But hat sure is a bad attitude for that man to have. Either he was just having a bad day or he likes being broke. lol
Could you imagine complaining about people traveling great distances to give you money? lol

In my opinion it's not the cork but it slows your presentation to less aggressive fish
