exactly what I need at this stage. more sample size. To close the gap.
The most important humbling video ever in trading.
Great refresh of Trading in the Zone for me. I read it before but hadn't fully appreciated it at the time.
Keep trades small and many
I’m very glad that was useful!
Good point!
I took a rather "outside of the box" approach and made a hedging strategy that's entirely built around random. I have two prices I target with both sides, and wait because price CAN NOT STAY STILL. That's the whole base of the strategy and then I use a handful of different techniques on how I set up orders and sometimes using partial closes, and I'm repeating an average of 18% per trade cycle. Each cycle takes about 3 weeks, and I've repeated the same outcomes, and metrics with size, drawdown, and times, although I'm using a different path of techniques, 4 times in a row. A lot of the same statistics, even though it's different pairs, different times of year, makes no difference, same statistics 😂.
That was dope.
Where can I watch the full recording from this guy that you mentioned at the start of the video?
It’s available in our Desire To Trade Academy program: app.desiretotrade.com/desire-to-trade-academy-direct

@@DesireToTRADE You're welcome, thank you for your dedication to the trade.
I think there is other perspective, like comparing different deviations from different size of data samples, if those multiple different deviations doesn't agree with each other, it's not random, the market just act in a range or sideway, if the opposite then it's trending, if it cannot be categorized in either then it's doing random walk
One of the more refined method is called Hurst exponent, I never tried it though
Thanks for sharing!
This was gold. Thank you
Thanks that you liked it!
Great content . This info can be used in other forms of life too
✅🥋💯
totally agree Deezy.
Mark Douglas completely changed my mindset. I have listened to the audio version of trading in the zone several times and also TH-cam videos of him teaching classes. He is the reason why I decided to algo trade instead of taking my trades manually.
this is great .. but I feel like Rande Howell is a true gem that really transformed my trading ..
I would have liked more discussion of context, timeframe and probability. Just talking sample size and probability is too abstract imo to be truly useful.
Amazing content as always.. much appreciated Etienne and Michael 👍🏽
Can we say that randomness=manipulation?
Getting enough occurrences could be done using a good backtester executing the strategy on enough classes/pairs etc. Only consider a strategy if it generates enough trades in the backtest to begin with. Any thoughts?
Amazing content! Thanks Etienne!
I appreciate that!
Problem with this discussion is you can’t really talk about randomness without considering probability. There was no metrics for the probability which doesn’t say much to me.
Mate PLEASE practice to speak SLOWER !! Pleaseee! 😁😘😘
Great content ,I appreciate your clear and simple breakdown 😍. Even with the. current dip in crypto currency’s, I’m still glad I can smile 😊 back at my portfolio of $64,200 built from my trade, I’m having my fourth withdrawal in 14 business days😊
Great to hear!
