Back when I listened to that song the first time I just turned 14 and my parents were freshly divorced. I had a rough time and couldn't sleep so I turned on the radio. It was like 1 or 2 in the morning, I don't remember. When I heard the song I thought it was just another love song (also because I'm from Germany and my English wasn't so good at that time). I remember when the singer starts to almost scream, it was like my heart melted and I just began to cry. I don't know for how long, minutes, hours... I just know it was the fist time I was able to cry and not "keep it together" because I saw my family crumble before my eyes and there seemed to be nothing I could do to stop it from happening.
I didn't know back then that the song's actually about Jesus, I just discovered it years after. But I know I felt his presence without even knowing him. Now I understand the lyrics and I know it speaks about the power, might and deep love of our savior. Now I also know him and he isn't just my savior but also my Lord. And I'm still thanking him for the first time I heard this song. He was and is my light in the darkness. And the darkness cannot overcome the light, that is Jesus Christ. I love you Jesus, thank you for loving me first.

Someone asked who's still listening in 2020..... I AM!!!!! I recently losted my daughter in a car accident. I listen to this song because it reminds me that GOD is our everything. Only God can calm the storms that comes into our lives. This song helps me keep my faith because my faith has been shaken, but I know God is still with me, and that he has a plan for me and my family. So in 2020 I'm going to keep listening to this song that gives me hope. Thank you Lighthouse for this timeless song that let's broken hearted people like me remember that God is Everything we need.

Have been watching a lot of near death experiences on you tube. They see the Bliss on the other side and come back. Anita Moorjani is a favorite and has lots of revelation she brought back. Also Penny Wittbrodt. Hope this helps. My first child was still born and I had a miscarriage I did not know. Met them both in a dream I was blessed with. Be made Blissful.

This song takes me back to Iraq. I was the squad leader in the Marine Corps. We were hit by an IED and a small group of insurgents and 5 of my Marines were killed the remaining 7 were injured. I fought like hell and got the rest out. If not for Good and the thought of not seeing my daughters again, I never gave up. My best friend died in the blast because he shielded me. He paid the ultimate price. I only hope he is looking down upon me and and smiling for all that I have done with my life. Semper Fi brother, I miss you dearly.

This song takes me back to my childhood. I was so scared and lonely all the time, moving from place to place, with no friends or family around. I had this song on their first CD I kept in my walkman, and listened to it when I felt alone. It helped me and I’m forever grateful for it
I hope that Lifehouse bring more songs out, this is one of the few bands that I am a big fan of. Such a shame that they are underrated, because they deserved a way more than that!
I saw them at the Mohegan Sun casino about two years ago. Only a crowd of 2,000 or so but they rocked it and all of us appreciated them.

As much as I love Clark Kent/Superman, the story of Lex's life is far more compelling. He's raised by evil, but underneath the ugliness there's a good heart, and someone who strives to become a good person... But as Jonathan Kent once warned Clark, "The road to Hell is paved with good intentions."
It reminds me of another great quote from an early 2000 TV series (Stargate SG-1) like Smallville, "The universe is vast, and we are so small. There is only one thing we can truly control. Whether we are good... or evil."
Coincidentally, yet another 2000 movie around this time (Gladiator), shared a similar message, where Proximo forfeits his life by handing Maximus the keys to his cell, freeing him. And Maximus asks, "Are you in danger of becoming a good man."
That's what Lex Luthor has to ask himself, if he's willing to put himself in danger in order to become a good man.
Ironically, Clark is the good person whose true nature and good deeds often put others in danger...

This was the very first song I ever played for my wife back when we first met and started falling in love with each other that was 14 years ago, then three months ago it all came crashing down when we lost her do to covid19 complications it is hard to hear this song now but there is healing in it as well if it wasn't for our family and music I'm not sure what I would do they have gotten me through the dark and onto the slow road of healing rest in peace my love until we see each other again.
I hope one year on that you are finding a measure of healing and some peace. I am so incredibly sorry to you and your entire family for this loss.

I think the purest form of love is truly the fact that God sent His Son to die for our sins, I believe it in my heart, but would never attempt to force it on anyone. I can simply tell you that my faith and belief in God has made me a better man. If me reading the Bible, believing it's principles, and trusting it's authenticity does nothing but cause me to treat people with respect, and live a better life, then what have I lost? But for a non believer to come to the end and find out it really was true, but they refused to acknowledge it what would they stand to lose?

I read the Bible and live by it's principles. There is a lot of things in the Bible but the basic principle is Jesus loving the world. Noone is perfect, I'm certainly not, but I respect others and care.

There is allot of love and compassion in this song. There is allot of understanding. Understanding about Jesus. Jesus was love. Jesus Was the perfect example of love. Jesus showed and proved that love is very powerful. Very spiritually, very powerful. Love heals. Love saves souls. Love makes you kind to other without trying. Love brings forgiveness. Love makes a human grow healthy. Love makes everything on this earth work perfect. Example, if you have a garden and you water and pull the weeds. Feed it food. You take care of it. Care is love, the garden will grow healthy, beautiful, it will produce. But if you neglect neglect the garden and just pray over the garden but never attend the garden. The garden will weather away. If you have a pet. And you love the pet, you hold the pet, you take care of the pet. You speak beautiful and kind words to the pet. Your pet will be gentle and loving towards you and others. If you reject the pet, you just get a animal that is unpredictable. If you have a child, you love the child, you are compassionate, kind loving gentle full of wisdom towards your child, you will get a beautiful human being. But if you have a child, and you neglect your child never showing him or she love or compassion. You dismiss your child and have nothing to do with your child. You will get a human of bitterness and hurt and full of self destruction. Jesus was love. God is love too. God did not have to save us. But his love for us gives us a chance to live for eternity in a place full of love and beauty forever. But if we want to be religious and live by only rules and laws and do.not believe love matters, you will get a person who will never have compassion and understanding for others. You will get a person that has no grace. A person of fear. And they will put this fear in you. Thinking it is for your own good. God knows the pure heart. Gods knows works, God knows what is desire and really is from the heart. That is what makes our God perfect. God bless
