Really enjoy these videos, I ride alone mostly it's nice to see how hard the trail is ,my family had the last house on big mountain by the gate have walked up this trail with my grandpa many times in the 70,s thanks ron
Love the videos they give us good ideas on where to ride. Do one on trail 40 that one little down hill or up hill depending on which way you are going could almost make it a red one.
Glad you enjoy the video's. Trail 40 (aka Rail Trail) is a Black Double Diamond. We color code those now on the map. They are Black with a Red Outline. I have walked that trail before from G3 to G39 (Cadillac Hill) Side to GPS it. It is rugged.
@@WindrockTV I think we are talking about two different trails G40 is the one I'm talking about it is a very easy trail except for one little hill that is about 30 yards long just before it meets up with G2 I believe.
If you are talking about the Video Map showing that is the Windrock App. If you are talking about how we track the trail system to produce the Map then I use a Garmin Montana and Garmin's Basecamp to manage the database of trails.
They talked about doing something like that. But it would require alot more investment and make the app more complex to manage they decided against that. The App was designed to be used to help you navigate around the WIndrock Park Trails. And that is really all it was designed to do. Thanks for the comment
Thanks Ron. Enjoyed the video.
Glad you enjoyed it

Ron what mapping software are you using? Thanks for the great videos.

Ron, it would be awesome if the Windrock app could be updated to report down trees or other damage and share the location that way.

You might use crawl mode if you're not as it's smoother accelerating not as jercky.
If you have a chain saw is it ok to cut that kind of thing out of your way and just winch it off trail ?
Yes, a-ok to cut fallen trees and limbs blocking the route of travel on the trail. Not ok to cut anything off trail or create bypasses.
This comment is exactly right. Thanks for asking the question
