From Glasgow. I visited Liverpool 21 yrs ago. Took the ferry across the mersey. Loved the song. They played both these songs over the loud speaker. I certainly did as well Eddy, Gerry and the Pacemakers were a fine band and all of their songs are priceless. And they have stood the test of times as great anthems in a time when people made fine music. This is my testimonial to Gerry; good day to you.
Jerry and the Pacemakers reminds me when I was a little kid everybody been 8 years old and my brother took me on the ferry going from Staten Island he took me out there and we had quite an adventure and I could always hear Jerry and the Pacemakers, this songs are really amazing it captured the moment perfectly

I saw Gerry about 10 years ago, and he introduced this song by saying he wrote the song when he broke up with his girlfriend. She heard it, they got back together and married about 40 years ago. The audience applauded, he then said "Wish I'd never written the ## song." Brilliant, a great character as well as singer. Will never forget.
We were damned lucky to grow up in those fabulous times. Brings a tear to my eye when I stop to remember it. Days that will never be again, not even close.
That "Ferry Cross the Mersey" melody is like "Danny Boy," -- it gets into your head stays forever. Both are beautiful melodies. Gerry still comes off well polished for a ballad singer and he has a nice style in his presentation. And on "Ferry Cross the Mersey," -- the youngsters on the brass are excellent.
