Anderson's coach told him about James Irvin if he doesn't respect you he will kick you and that's what he did. I bet his respect skyrocketed afterward.
It's tough seeing Bonnar nowadays...what a tragic loss. Anderson's run was as great as any...what a killer
It's refreshing to see Forrest Griffin, as great of a fighter that he was, be this humble and recognizing how he was nervous and the better man won that night.
GOATed run for me, being in my 20s and at the height of my MMA/puroresu fandom, no other fighter comes close for me. The fight vs. Franklin is the only fight other than Sapp/Nogueira where I remember exactly where I was and how I felt watching it. I was sitting at this dining table at the house where I used to babysit, watching a shitty stream on the family's laptop, and he got Ace in that Thai clinch and started lighting his face up with knees and my head exploded.
The way silva praises his opponents at the end after he wins is so dope, especially sonnen cause he knew sonnen truly earned his respect. And bisping of course.
Anderson sliva is formless shapeless like water
what a documentary! Thanks for paying this respect to all time Legend ANDERSON SILVA - spider of MMA
When he broke his leg in the Wideman fight it was a pivotal moment for the sport and his career. When he was on he was so dominant
He was a fighter of once in a lifetime. Seeing Stephen Bonnar makes me feel sad, as a guy who also has issues with opioids. RIP
Spider's combination of reflexes, agility, striking arsenal, head movement, sharpness, unpredictability and boldness was unquestionably the best ever.
To make it even worse:
Dude hit hard, had a granite chin, had phenomenal JJ skills and some of the most lethal Muay Thai strikes ever in a MMA fighter.
The Roy Jones of MMA. They both had styles that worked until they didnt work any longer. When they were in their prime, they were unbeatable.
What a legend this is how I start watching UFC..
Wish I was in tune with this stuff when it was happening but I know who the great ones are, just have to go back and watch
Griffin came in Swinging the Caveman Style. I love his honesty. 😂😂😂
That coming from the baddest mouth Chael Sonnen makes Silva undeniable. ❤
The most beautiful 🤩 fighter to watch ever!!! His body, body language, movement, speed, skills … Just amazing!!! Goat 🐐 Before Jon Jones started to take over!!!
Forrest Griffin has to be one of the most likeable personalities in the sport of all time. Just seems like such a nice dude.
Respect to all the awesome fighters that Respect fighters
man so legendary the ufc couldnt even get an interview with him
He was. I' ve been viewing MMA for 30 yrs and he is it.
Anderson has plenty of stamina and reserve always in the fight he always wait for the windows of opening sure hit that’s makes him one of the best fighter
I watched UFC because of these fighters! They are the best!
Chael just has such a great analysis of the sport.
It was wild watching the UFC LEVEL UP UPON THE LANDING DESTRUCTION & CONFUSION THAT WAS SILVA
nderson Silva the legend! A true UFC icon, I am glad I had the privilege of watching his legendary middleweight championship reign during his prime. Anderson Silva is a true once in a generation athlete. 👏👏👏🐐🇧🇷
Good on these guys showing paying Silva homage and praise, humility!God bless yall!
It was so awesome to watch this. I been a fan since the 90s. I was in my 20s in the 2000s. So this brought back great memories.
Dude fought like a mother trying to get her kids to settle down in the car. Props and much respect!
