- I still like the G35 and when it comes to making power, it is possible and easier to mod the G35 because the older De engine is simpler. But when it comes to a daily driver car that can do everything. The G37 is a 5x better choice or even the G35Hr engine is still 5x better and more reliable straight from the factory

Love your video I’m thinking about buying a g37x for around 10/11k around 70-85k miles on it. If I do purchase what would you recommend to do for “preventative maintenance” to make it last that much longer
Thank you man I appreciate it fr❤️🔥 but if you buy the G at 80k there shouldn’t be anything that needs to be replaced, but my buddy did change a wheel bearing around that time and that’s basically it. It’s a good plan to start replacing parts once your G hits near 150k that’s when some of my parts started to get old. So I’ll be sure to make a maintenance video about my G and what I had to do to it sofar now that I’m at 170k

The G37 has the 3.7L with Valvetronic which helps with MPG and overall performance which also makes it harder to work on like installing CAMS compared to the G35. But awesome video, it helped me make my choice on what I wanna get :)

@@diesolit Gonna do the 3.5 so I don't have to deal with the valvetronic when I add cams. Valvetronic is already a pain on my N52 328

@@diesolit Yeah having someone else do it is gonna be costly 3.5 or 3.7, but definitely 3.7 because of the all the valvetronic components. I'm not quite sure which version I'm going with yet but either way I'll be adding a tune, upgraded cc fuel injectors, upgraded fuel pump, diy custom cai, port the intake manifold, possibly port the head, true dual 3 inch exhausts, catless headers. Might've left a few things out but, just the all around works for a NA build I plan to daily

1. Let’s say that I recently bought a used g37 sedan on over 100k miles. For those who have no mechanic skills, what components should look out for when it comes to repairing? And when should I do these repairs?? Is it better to do repairs at a Infiniti dealership or any other stand alone mechanic?
2. It is only mandatory to use premium gas on the g37 only? Is using regular gas okay?
3. How can you tell if your engine is DE, HR or VHR??
Okay any Infiniti around 100k miles is considered low mileage, so there shouldn’t be anything majorly wrong at that point,
but 1. If your paying a lease on the car bring it to the dealership to save money, if you bought the car with cash bring it to your local and small time repair shop for a better price
2. Yes the G37 only takes premium gas , Do not use regular gas.
3. The De engine years were 2001 to 2004
The Hr engine years were from 2007 to 2008
The Vhr engine years were from 2009 to 2013

@@clydemacauley1554 no problem, and yeah Using regular gas will not only affect the engine's performance, it will also impact its long-term health and operation, because it wasn't designed for it, so that could cause poor fuel economy, reduced acceleration, and spark knock, which sounds like a high-pitched pinging or rattling noise
Love my 07 G35HR RWD sedan it's the one to buy the AWD X wad over 200 lbs heavier than the RWD sedan and is almost a half second slower 0-60 than the RWD sedan

Umm... Infiniti G37 does come in standard or automatic. It's just the manuals are harder to find as there are less of them on the road.
My point was that Infiniti never made a Awd manual car, like Subaru does

That’s a decent price but the miles are getting up there, you could potentially find G37 for close to that price if you’re okay with driving outta state. It’s worth it

@@MackTezArmory no there are decently priced to fix, I’m not a mechanic and im able to do most work in the car, and it’s easy for shops to work on Infinitis bc they use American parts & tools, same goes for the g35

Mpg is due to g35 having a 5 speed vs g37 having a 7 speed transmission.
Yeah they definitely did better with the g37
I'd take topping off the oil in a DE over the galley gasket issues of the HR any day.
They mainly fixed the gallery issues with the years 2012 & 2013
The only thing I’m gonna comment bro is you’re not mentioning that you just don’t know who the seller is and what they’ve done to it. And I’m only saying this from personal experience less than three months ago. I had to sell my Mercedes, so I bought a 2008 G 35X from a seller on Facebook. the only thing that had a warning light was the tea PMS but long story short, the engine blew on me within three days of owning it. 182,000 miles. Did not want to finance anything new so I took it to a shop and did an entire engine swap along with brand new rock and pinion steering pump and steering column. It took 11 weeks and $6000 but we found an engine with less than 50,000 miles so she should last me a good solid five years now but my point is nothing is a Reliable when you don’t have the true facts on what the previous owner did or didn’t do
Yeah that’s unfortunate but you probably didn’t check the oil before you bought the car, you have to inspect the car or pay for an inspection. I went to a dealer ship to buy a clean m56x I took it on a test drive and blew the engine after flooring it a couple times. Comes to find out he didn’t clean the engine bay and he never changed the oil and it ran low. Causing the engine to fail
@@diesolit yeah, I had a mechanic buddy of mine look at it. Everything was fine dude I have no warning lights at all and I never slam the gas like that. It had 181,000 miles I wasn’t looking for a sports car I was looking for something simple a to b. that is pretty damn sad that you blew up an M 56 let alone an M 56 X. That is one hell of a unicorn and there’s only 1500 of them in the world. I want one as well. The only thing keeping me from getting one is there is no mods in existence for making that thing faster or even cosmetically nice. It’s quick but not fast for an AWD V8.
