Allende was a truly respectable man, he helped what few people could of helped the chilean working class, he created intitutions for the chilean women, removed unused proprieties from chilean bourgeoi, giving them to homeless people wich could be reabilitated into the society, he gave a bunch of rights to the chilean workers, and the Unidad Popular fought to the last bit to defend chile from the fascist claws of pinochet, a minute of silence to this legend🚩🚩🚩
Thanks, that’s good to hear! I was debating with myself if I should put up one of the 70s versions, but I really like the drive and epic sound in this one. Plus that it isn’t been listened to very much, so it deserves a bit of attention.
@@theredmoose2084 Makes sense, and the original song was probably intended to be sung in solidarity with Chile. Still, it's such a powerful phrase, and song, that I'd love to have a version to relate to the Swedish worker's movement as well.
Yeah, and back when most Swedes didn’t know much of other languages, it was quite common to give all sorts of foreign songs Swedish lyrics. The socialist bands had a lot of good material to work with!
It says "El pueblo unido jamás será vencido" but the lyrics screams for "El pueblo armado jamás será aplastado" (The people armed will never be crushed),

@@theredmoose2084 thanks to you for upload the song with lyrics, I like It a lot. I just want to translate this lyrics and then others could make the comparison with the original text that by the way changes a lot
Thanks! From different nations, race, culture, language, but united in the biggest struggle, the one of freedom. Blessings, lots of love from Chile!
Beatifully said! Thank you for listening, I hope to be able to put up some more Swedish songs about Chile in the futute.
For the Internationale Workers Federation comrade! Solidaritet
Btw, I now also have a nice Swedish recording of Venceremos on my channel. Check it out!
"You talk about nation and fatherland, but who put the rifle in your hand?" Hits SOOO hard.
Yeah, it’s strange how so many nationalists through history just happened to get their hands on American weapons. A big mystery.

Yeah, and regardless if one feels he did enough or not, it surely was enough for the US to want to coup him and install a fascist instead.
I may be a dirty social democrat but he think this song is one of the best Swedish socialist songs that depict the struggle for socialism perfectly.
It’s an amazing song and this version of it it is actually great. Glad you like it!
The lyrics actually so based dawg
Yeah, they’re so good! A great version of this song.
Hadn't actually listened to the full version beyond the "rojava" lyric, this is a very good recording

Unfortunate that the chanting isn't translated as well. I feel like "Ett folk som är enat kan aldrig bli besegrat" would fit perfectly.
True, but in every Swedish version I’ve heard they keep the chant in Spanish, maybe because it’s such an iconic saying.

It's so great that there are swedish versions of all the great left wing songs

On this september 11th of 2024, i'd like to remind Allende's legacy as man of justice and dignity
That’s a good thing to do, thanks for listening! 💪🇨🇱
here here comrade
It says "El pueblo unido jamás será vencido" but the lyrics screams for "El pueblo armado jamás será aplastado" (The people armed will never be crushed),
That would also fit the picture in the video quite well.
