Yeah, I need to get one to leave in the truck. Thank you man. I decided to enjoy life now, instead of working 40 years and missing the get up and go of my youth. It’s scary with money but money comes and goes regardless. I hope you get it soon buddy. Thank you.
I have worked 3 jobs for 30 years. I'm past due for having some fun on the beach ⛱️ surf fishing 🎣 😎 😅. If you see me, I'll be the one jumping up and down on the sand 😀. Thanks for the reply 👍
What are you doing with the knife before you toss the fish in the cooler? When I was young, we would vacay on the outer banks of N.C. What fun! Surf fishing with what they called "bloodworms" yielded lots of "spot" fish which were good eating Pleasant memories. Thank you.
Nice fish and your right the sea mullet is a good tasting fish great for fish tacos but puffers are my favorite, what lenght are your rods you were using, you need to get one of those jump start packs in case it happens to you again
Thanks sir. I still haven’t had a puffer yet but I do hear they are great. These are 8’ rods. I do need a jumper box, I’m considering the dewalt combo air compressor.
You sure had the spot with that big hole in the slough... those sloughs between the bar and the beach are like fish highways, but when one opens up into a hole like that, you've got the spot! Looks like big fun. That dog is turning into nice looking critter too, by the way.
It was a really awesome day and I was lucky to find it. You could see the wash zone and where it looked like it hollowed out. Thanks so much man. He drives me wild but I love him. Lol.
Eric, just wanted to say how much I enjoyed the video, and I couldn't agree with you more- there's just nothing like surf fishing !! Was also wondering about your sand spikes & if they are homemade....keep up the good work & happy fishing !
Thanks so much for the nice comment. They are locally made here in Wilmington Region and I buy them from Island Tackle and Hardware. stores.truevalue.com/nc/carolina-beach/1909/
that’s awesome man, I’m hoping to go surf fishing for the first time tomorrow so trying to find any good spots for my first time. Any tips or recomendations?
I'd say I fish 4 days to get one video, no matter the type of fishing that I am doing. You guys only see the good days but 75 percent of them are bad. It's all about being prepared and getting lucky.
Glad to see our surf fishing picking back up!!! Im curious when u drive on the beach, how low of tire pressure do u run? I haven't aired down when i go and i make it but struggle a little bit with my jeep
Me too man. We needed this warm stretch for sure. I aired down to about 25lbs and I have no issues at that poundage. You may need to go lower with a heavier vehicle though. I think the park says you should go to about 18.
@Eric Williams i will try 18 next time i go. Hopefully this warm weather is here to stay. Gonna try the Brunswick river this week and hope to find some
@@ericwilliamsfishing That makes sense, the water near me and the outer banks is still a tad too cold for surf fishing, especially for the whiting. Hopefully that'll change in a few weeks.
Nice! That's some good eating right there!
Doesn’t get much better! Thanks for watching 🤙
My family and i love ft fisher! Caught some flounder, blues and croaker a couple weeks ago.
That’s awesome man. Yeah, it’s a great place to go where you can just drive out and set up camp.
So many placed camera walk and drive-bys. That's dedication. Well done Eric.
Haha. That part look like 3 hours 🤣
I am patiently waiting for my chance to go back to NC surf fishing. Till then, Im living vicariously through videos like yours. Thank you!
Come on down! I appreciate you checking out the videos.
Love catching some mullet, probably one of my favorite fish to eat too
That’s are a ton of fun and just as good to eat too.
Thanks Eric for the delightful early surf fishing trip.
Thanks so much for checking it out. I can’t wait for the bait to start showing up in the surf.
Me and the boys will be down next week for the week. Can’t wait. 😊
Good luck buddy!
Awesome Video Eric! Keep up the great work my friend 👍🎣🎣
Thank you, buddy.
YES! great vid buddy. Amazing what wind, tide and tweaking the live bait changes everything.
Thanks man. I really appreciate the continued support! A pirates life for me 🤣

Nice job man. The dog just chillin in the truck was awesome.
He just likes to take it easy!
Never go out there without a jumper box.
You are living my dream, I will be doing that one day. Stay safe and God-bless you. Awesome video.

Hey Eric, I carry an Auden battery jumper. It’s a true blessing for that occasional jump
Thanks for that heads up, John!
Thems some fine mullet, You ate good that night
Yeah buddy, hooked my neighbor up too!
Good stuff man !! And Great Fish TACOS !!
Thanks buddy. Glad you enjoyed them!

I always bleed my fish out because it makes the fish taste better. I pop the gills with a knife and they bleed out in the bag.

Great video. Did you see any sand fleas?
I didn’t. I’ve since fished there and didn’t do well nor see any fleas.
Dang dude, you slayed em! Pretty work 🙌🔥🤙
Yes sir. It was a good day! Thank you for watching!
SUPER NICE VIDEO, MY NEW FRIEND. THANKS FOR SHARING. WE LIKED AND SUBBED YOUR CHANNEL...

Find deep water between sandbars and fish the edges of the drop off. Location doesn't really matter since the sand shifts non stop.
@@ericwilliamsfishing sweet! Would you recommend fort Fisher for a beginner? Id hate to drive 4 hours just to get completely skunked.

@@ericwilliamsfishing we do 15 for our sierra 1500
@@logann7016 that’s pretty low.
Any Pompano turned up yet?
I haven’t been surf fishing in about three weeks but that’s next on the hit list.
I caught tons of pompano last June
@@WtheredIsBetter I'd love to get on some of them.
Awesome video can't wait to get back to Ft Fisher
Thank you buddy. I appreciate you watching and hope you get out there soon!
Nice work!! Some really nice whiting!!!
Thanks buddy! It was a good day for sure!
Are pompanos still biting late August?
You can get lucky and catch some but spring is when we get our best push.
@@ericwilliamsfishing Thank you! Darn and I was reading late summer is the best time to surf fish pomps in NC
i see some discs in that car of yours...
Lol. You know I stay strapped for a quick 9.
What sand spikes are those?
a local guy makes them and sells them through Island Tackle at Carolina Beach.
I was there on Wednesday, but I only caught puffers. 😢
What you didn’t see in my video was the 20 skates that I fought, tooth and nail. 😅
Pretty amazing, Brother...
I appreciate you watching and thank you for the comment!
I just knew the Dewalt was gonna get it done
I tried my best man. Starting scorching a screwdriver handle 😂
Spring fishing has not been on fire…
It’s been a good one for me. I’m sorry to hear that.
Rule Number 1 dont be a 13 inch sea mullet
Or you are going in the box.
@@ericwilliamsfishing 😆
Not mullet
Sea mullet
Heck yeah, where in NC were you at? I'm in Virginia Beach still haven't had any luck yet this early in the spring.
Hey, thanks for the comment! This is Kure Beach, South of Wilmington NC.

@@jazzfeline5970 yeah, it is warming up pretty quickly in the last few weeks. I think we are on pace to have a solid spring run if it keeps up.
