Besides all else, the most significant aspect of your style is that you keep reiterating key points. You can’t repeat these concepts enough. Hearing them over and over reinforces them to the point where they become automatic. So glad I signed up with Alphatrends. Learning a lot.
Even though I’m acquainted with various moving average strategies, I really appreciate your simple and straightforward “just the facts” coverage of the 200-day. Plus, love the numerous examples. Rock on.

me too 🤓 I am arrogant and stubborn... imho there's a difference between knowing the path and walking the path. Knowing and doing are two totally different concepts. Walking the path allows us to grow by facing challenges and struggles along the way... still fighting my fomo...
Repetition of the essentials is so important. I love TA and I love learning TA so I am very prone to getting lost down different rabbit holes and different systems. The classic 50/200D is a classic vanilla indicator for a reason, everyone uses it. Great video, Brian!
Nice reminder, Brian.. Ever since I knew the importance of 200 DMA, I have applied the filter for the stocks above it and only trade those on long side..
An excellent video presenting some simple but important concepts. I would like to see more of these kind of educational videos on the basics, especially those that help investors with somewhat longer timeframes. Thank you Brian!
Great video for a newbie. This makes a lot of sense to me regarding the 200 day moving Average. Which time frame would you use a 200 day moving average on? How would one use a five day moving average?
Hey brian, could you please share a scanner where we can find out when the 200 moving average starts to become flat to rising. Needless to say, your strategies have always worked for me, I have been implementing them on multiple assets with strict stop loss. I've been able to generate 70% accuracy. God bless your efforts.
you are awesome that showing people how to not loose money. you have contributed me a lot with your anchor vwap method. I will buy your book and review too and Greetings from Finland 🇫🇮
Super video Brian!🙂 I'm on the short term swing-trader side of things but this is SO important for investors too. They could save so much time and money adhering to the advice given here, if they could just swallow their pride a bit and recognise the usefulness and 'moneysavingness' of a modicum of Technical analysis. I mean this is so basic and easy for all types to understand and it would help their performance enormously without having to make a career in charting! This video hammers it home in a BRILLIANT way. Key Pup the good work👍 NoAxe
I’m often asked who I’d suggest you should listen to. I always tell them you should start each week with Brian. It’s free and you will learn how not to lose money, before you learn how to make money.
As someone who is getting ready to get into trading, this is fantastic information. One thing that I realize is that no matter what strategy I develop, a retail trader must know how the institutional traders think. Thanks for making this video. I look forward to watching more.
Hey Brian, what about gaps, they tend to mess up the averages(and other indicators), it is reasonable to go for long "fade the gap" if the 200 MA is above?
You introduced me to the AVWAP and it's been great to use, also your instructional videos are simply great, Thanks for making me a more studied trader.
After reading your book I have 2 questions: what is the best time frame for 5MA or is it the 5 EMA and do you buy at the end of the day if the stock is above that or anytime it get above that, and lastly, do you sell if the stock drops below that even on the same day? Thank you.
Thank you for the video, It is so hard to find videos that actually teach these days, 99% of stock related videos are full of posers selling their courses, or clickbait to make ad revenue. Thank you!
Great vid Brian. I see people buying bounces off of the 50 dma with a rising 200dma. Even though price is under the avwap from the last high. They just buy the bounce using the 50 dma as support. Thoughts on this??
This is my first year when i realized that story, fundamental or good or bad company is irrelevant. If it works it's trending up. Company is not good or bad. It's trending up or down. One year it's good and the next it's not. Biggest problem is account full of those stories going down. You want your account to go up. It's possible only with up trending stocks.

great to hear Mitchell

This is the BEST 200 ma explanation that I have ever seen! Thank you!

Great video! Never buy new lows and never short new highs, I learned that one the hard way.
me too!
So should we short new lows? Thanks

Bro great quote ‘bulls live above’ literally answered my question that 5-6 other vids couldn’t
This was exceptionally helpful! I watched it multiple times. And took notes! Thank you. 😊😊
Great straightforward explanations. I love the uncluttered chart & logical strategy. Thank you great video.
Great commentary! Very insightful, I appreciate your time and effort for making these videos!!!!
Nice reminder, Brian.. Ever since I knew the importance of 200 DMA, I have applied the filter for the stocks above it and only trade those on long side..

14:10 VSCO was a great short - gave bears a bear market rally to get enter short on and ride it down.
In what time frame should we see the charts for 200MA? You had it in Daily, why? Why not Weekly?

Thanks for posting these educational videos, Brian. It helps a lot, it really does. Wish I had found you (your books and videos) sooner. 😊
This was really helpful and clear. Thank you!
Great reminder of the importance of this MA Brian, thanks!
I’m often asked who I’d suggest you should listen to. I always tell them you should start each week with Brian. It’s free and you will learn how not to lose money, before you learn how to make money.
How can I see the 200 moving average in trading view, for example?
It’s just a Simple Moving Average (SMA) with a length of 200 😊
Amazing video Brian. Super easy to follow and I loved all the examples!
Glad it was helpful!
Great info about the 200 day moving average ❤ simple and right to the point
Great explanation! Simple stuff yet it helps to avoid so many pitfalls in the market.
Thank you! Do you use simple MA and any settings adjustments?
just simple, no adjustments

Thank you for explanation.
rule of thumb: Make a higher low above the flat or rising 200 MA. Buy strength after a dip.
Boom!
This was a really good informative video. Thanks for your
time and effort to help me out.
You introduced me to the AVWAP and it's been great to use, also your instructional videos are simply great, Thanks for making me a more studied trader.
Thanks for the video, Can you use the same concept on smaller time frames for day trading futures?
Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us.

Awesome analysis, thnx for the video and the good wrk, expecting a lot more analysis like this

what timeframe do you use for the 200 day moving average when making a decision? weekly monthly ? please explain
200 for Daily. 30 For Weekly. 10 for monthly
Never stop learning from you.
awesome!
Great explanation. Can you identify when it does not work? Or when we should not use it? Assuming it's not a 100% fool proof method.
nothing is 100% the idea is to put the odds in your favor and skip trades where the message isnt clear
great video thanks
Brian is the best out there. Always enjoy your videos
I appreciate that!
Brian, very refreshing insight. Really enjoyed the flow of your Chart analysis.

I am also amazed the classic golden/death cross of the 50 and 200 Sma is also very accurate to this day. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
Very helpful Brian - thanks for this video!
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks for video. Do you use the 200d EMA or SMA?
SMA
I was a devotee of your anchored vwap school.
Should I shift to ma strategy?
Why not utilize both for more confluence? :)
@ but how to backtest
Great video Brian, so very useful, thanks.

Great vid Brian.

"Guilty until proven innocent." I love it! 😃
haha
Thanks a lot, random guy on TH-cam ). I’ve got caught by pypl. Lost some money. Thanks for pointing on my mistake.
