The little Fiat Pandas have a town or country switch for light or normal steering. Glad you got the UJ shaft done with no welding. Early in the video I was thinking you could use the manual steering box. Very early 164 had them and I think the manual 140 box is probably the same as that one. Hope your box isn't worn as the electric system will magnify the poor feel. The electric systems all drive R&P steering now days.

Can that yellow wire be "depinned" from the connector. Reroute the wire, then finally repinned to the connector? I'm sure you have thought about this already. Cheers.

Neg E vs Pos E - denotes which terminal is ground or "earth."
Those corroded dash screws would probably be replaced with stainless steel ones. A marine shop likely will have them.

    I am lost AND confused
Why is my 1975 164e still sitting in the garage not being used?
6 hours of work and she'd be ready........
I got her 4 years ago drove 15 miles saw that the front tranny seals was leaking due to having been , stored for 20 years, and still have not fixed!

Also a no crack dash but I found the seat bottoms to be horrible - not at all the nice injected foam but rather crumbling crappy rubberized horse hair dusty
I rebuilt with new dense polyurethane and LSeats leather
