I am using the LMG 08/18 in an assualt manner even though it is a support weapon. It is great with CQB as well as medium ranges

Assault has always been OP, especially the Hellriegel. They just made it more so with the TTK update, although it did also make Support and Medic guns a lot better too, though, so I think on the whole I like it better post-TTK patch that pre-TTK patch. I just don't think the Assault guns needed as much of a buff as what they got.
