Glad to see you are back running! Hopefully good to go from here on out. Good customer service is almost non existent these days. Keep the videos coming!
I know you guys aren’t crazy about the YXZ’s anymore, but I just bought a new one 3 months ago. One of the biggest reasons I got it was because of my dealer where I live. They have a great reputation for service. My YXZ needed a new fuel pump and fuel tank after owning it a month. The parts were going to take a couple weeks to get so they took the parts from another machine to get me back up and running. It was in and out of the dealer in one day. Good service is a huge deal. I’ll have zero hesitation about buying another machine from those guys again.
It’s good to see young people sharing experiences with everyone in the community of SXS riding. Teaching the way to safely approach and exit obstacles too. I learned a great deal from your Moab trip. I watched the entire series as well. Im an old-timer that has done a great deal of what your doing now only on two wheels and fifty years ago. I will be getting into a car soon, CanAM X3 RC turbo RR and want to modify properly. Your experience will help me to do that. I appreciate what your doing for all of us watching. I would ask that from a mid Atlantic safety chairman that you use your helmets and eyewear with every start button depress. Life is short, don’t lesson your days of enjoyment buy a head or eye injury. Please keep the videos coming, the old-timer will be watching. Thank you and be safe.
As usual, another great Video! You guys are so"real". I don't know for sure, but would bet other brands customer service are poor as well. Can't wait for the next vid. Looks awsome!!
Glad you have traitor back can’t wait for the cliffs video teaser looks great. Sad deal about the customer service unfortunately that’s probably more of a normal deal than not
Mine went into limp mode the very first day I bought it. Brought it back to the dealership same day. After several trips out to test it, they finally figured out it was the wiring harness.
Had same exact experience with my dealer and can am customer service over issues with my new outlander 1000xtp. Complete bs. Dealer sat on it for weeks and can am kept blowing me off. We plan on buying a sxs in the future, and was leaning towards an x3, but after my experience I will never buy another can am product. The krx is sounding better and better the more reviews I watch on them. Probably more reliable as well.
Just started the video but I'm super glad to find out what the heck has been going on with your machine Ok now I watched the whole thing. Sounds like quite the bullshit you had to deal with. Hope it runs good for you for a long time so you don't have to deal with them again!
We have had limp mode issues from day one. Constant TPMS code. With some 6 series codes. The dealer couldn’t find an issue. So I guess my next step is change out the throttle body
Corporate BRP/Can-am customer service is, to put it nicely, horrible. Not sure why they allow such a culture to exist within a corporation, nothing good will come from it.
Have several of their products, and completely agree, they have decent engineering on the items I have IMO, but Good service and tech information is near nonexistent from them in my experience...Fortunately the user base is very knowledgeable, and I hope that will be true with the X3 as people have to solve their own problems. BRP are really pushing proprietary modules, and I just don't know how that is going to go in the future to manage those privately without requiring dealer involvement... Its not always convenient to have to bring a machine in back and a forth for little issues. To build a platform so reliant on the poorly trained service centers is scary when items cost that much, and are seemingly disposable and not given any importance even while under warranty let alone after warranty needs. Without the great user base it would be untenable.
I like the teasers included on your videos recently, whets the appetite Glad the rig is fixed, sorry to see yet another mismanaged repair, doesn't give me any hope if it were to happen to me that anything different would happen... I try to read and that is a not uncommon story I hope I never have to deal with. Should make others hesitant to drop that much cash if a BIG company like BRP can't help their customers in a timely informed manner IMO...
Frustrating times Bro , did the light ever go off ? I was riding the highway it came on “limp home “ I drove 2 miles at 30mph chilled for a hour drove it it was fine then the light went off. But it did it again . Later in the day after running to the other side of the city .Dealerships are so backed up he said December .
I’d would’ve been pissed at the dealer!!!! Two weeks before they touched it!!! Bad customer service.....WTF. I’d post the name of the dealer. Glad it’s fixed though
A month and a half ? Them are rookie numbers. My YXZ was at the dealer 5 1/2 months they charged me $1800, didn't get it fixed told me to come get it because they had to move out of the shop because an interstate was coming through( witch was true). I could take it to their other shop if I wanted too. I brought it home put a shift actuator on it and fixed it myself. Knock on wood it's been running great since.
Listen man, it’s just not Can- Am I can promise you that. I have Yamaha Viking as well and it took (8) weeks for the dealer to do absolutely nothing and tell me everything was good. Fast forward, I told him to check the cooling fan, which they are notoriously know for going out, he said it was fine. It was hitting about 75 rpms and it’s suppose to be much much more. Fan motor is bad, will change it out myself and lesson learned. These machines are only as good as the support they get from the dealerships.
hey guys I currently own a 2016 yxz in the market for a new one I love my yxz has held well with absolutely no problem cam thinking of either 2020 yxz or can am but worried about can am durability what do you think
Can ams need some things to be bullet proof but it would be well worth the upgrade for power and comfort also if look at the turbo s they are probably the most stout out off the box.
I had the problem "LIMP HOME" I have an X3 2019, I speak from Brazil. After taking the car to wash, returning from a trail, I started it in the garage and the warning appeared on the display. After reviewing everything, I saw that the negative pole of the battery was loose, so I pressed it tightly, and the message disappeared. I went for a trail the next day, I walked about 25km, all right .. Then I went to accelerate everything, on a straighter road, and LIMP HOME appeared on the display and cut the accelerator! I disconnected the battery, waited, connected and the message disappeared, then I went to accelerate again (+ - 50-60mhp) and cut the accelerator in half, showing a LIMP HOME message followed by another message "Check your engine" !! I came back from the track with a controlled speed, + - 15-20Mhp, and now I'm going to check every engine, whip, etc.

i can relate. my rzr is in the shop for the second time trying to get the noisy transmission fixed since it was new in january. found a chipped tooth the first time but still has gear/bearing noise on decel. dealer says polaris wont cover noises only broke parts so they are trying to find what is doing it. also the rear brake shoes rattle so bad and dealer says thats the number 1 complaint from people, again polaris doesn't care if their vehicles sound like shit. unless you have one of the electric rangers then they put springs on the anchor pins between the pads to stop the bad rattling, found this on a forum. these vehicles are all $20000+ and this is the best they can do? doesn"t matter what brand they all have ALOT of issues. my wifes ford escape cost less than my rzr. i guess until we stop buying this crapload of junk things aren't going to change. pick your poison.
Got to be honest with you they all suck even when you buy a Sea-Doo and need to take it to the dealership they will never get to it the whole summer when me and my buddies go out on our Sea-Doos if one breaks down you have to buy a new one and then when it's fixed you have to sell it. My new 2022 on first and only 30 mile ride threw pps and limp mode… new pedal three times, new throttle body, new battery, and new ecu this week… if problem doesn’t correct itself, next step is main wiring harness. Started a case with can am and their customer service is horrible. Absolutely trash. Spoke with “Leo” and that guy should be fired. Still at dealer after 2 visits and 3 weeks.

A month and a half can get frustrating. That's understandable. Glad it's running good bro. That's one bad ass machine.

Did you figure it out? I punched out my cat before winter and it was fine. Battery died and I fired it yesterday and got limp home mode. Sucks
