Logan Paul’s game CryptoZoo was recently exposed as a scam, but he denies this, claiming to have been "hard at work" for the past 12 months. Based on how simple the game is, I know that’s a complete lie, so I decided to prove it by remaking CryptoZoo in 1 hour!

If you watched coffee's videos the first team didn't get paid and didn't release their code so we have no idea what their game looked like, but they did negotiate the price and weren't paid. The second team quit because they weren't getting paid on time but eventually were paid. There is no known current development team.

Make CryptoZoo Any% Speedrun
I also made a CryptoZoo clone, but sadly I won't be getting the speedrun record because it took me 6 months to make. But it has a lot of features and animals and is unhackable. Of course it would take much less time if I didn't have to make the pictures or make it a website since that takes 5 programming languages to make.

I experienced the same type of rug on another simple project called CryptoDemonz. they promised to make a castlevania-esque 2d sidescroller in unity, but then they couldn't even provide a demo (obviously no finished product) a year later. they claimed "market conditions being bad means we have to halt the project". I ended up making my own in godot, and it took me maybe a week.
I would think the hard part would be actually incorporating the nft stuff into this but either way this was really funny

Yup, I was surprised to see not many people making this point. Yeah, the game he made is nice, but how does it work on multiple Blockchains with burn rate, earn yield, etc?
@@ShaloneCason I'd assume adding a way to mint each new creature, suckering in people to ponzi scheme finance/sustain it just like Axie Infinity, and hiding transactions from other crypto currencies to a proprietary one in the back-end would do that.
The hard part is to make it not be a pyramid scheme, not to connect it to blockchains.

The base of Logan Paul’s game is the crypto element tho, which isn’t easy to implement, so you can’t really say that you made his game in an hour and show this end product (ofc I know it’s just a fun video, and I don’t support Logan’s scam at all, I’ve just seen multiple TH-camrs now doing this, but no one’s actually built it around the blockchain. I would love to build this project FR, if I had more time I would make it, but I hope someone out there actually makes a version where players can profit (unless Logan does first)
Exactly my thoughts, you have to build it around the blockchain and make sure it can handle tons of requests at the same time, which requires a lot of work. But yea I agree the videos are fun and screw Logan.
That would mean promoting, and using the blockchain. Neither of which are a good idea.

I heard he used stock adobe photos of the animals. So they should be super easy to implement and i dont know if there is an api of an image creation ai, but maybe you could get images generated for new animals.

As a developer who came from Unity and dabbled a bit in coding crypto stuff, I will say that programming crypto stuff is significantly harder! It's especially difficult because you need to validate absolutely everything; a single bug can lose all the money of the entire project. (Of course, in the case of CryptoZoo, that hardly mattered.)
Given how most crypto projects have behaved so far, I think "lost all the money of the entire project" is the end goal, not a bug.
Potshots at how rife with MLMs crypto-spaces are aside, _most MMO games_ need a lot of validating because bugs can ruin them: see any dupe bug in an MMO, any server taking a client's word for it that they did a thing and got shinies, or any string that's allowed to go through in a raw format and cracks open arbitrary code execution.
You don't need it to be crypto for a bug to kill the entire project. (And to lose all of the money invested in developing and maintaining.)

I’m not savvy with coding and I have ideas how too add variety too animal types based on your code. I’m a mechanical engineer with logistics certs.
All you need now is to get imported images from an image generator that makes the pictures of the creatures an you will blow his "do you know how hard it is to mix animals and make them look good?" Out of the water.
