Do you like the handle on the Sissipuukko? Does these lines, where the fingers hold the handle, make it feel weird or not as comfortable? Also, how does the knife cut? Is it a good cutter, or they sacrificed cutting/slicing edge geometry, for making the edge tougher?

I have one of the original full flat grind ones that I got as a part of my training in the Finnish defense force. It works well enough for batoning, but the grind angle is super steep, so it doesn't cut too well. It is basically a wedge.
Oh and the hole on the side on the sheet holds the military crest plate.

Thanx blade bro. It’s a keeper. I saw your video on the Honshu & M-Tech Tanto. You sold me on the M-Tech. I tried to find the M-Tech Tanto on EBay & Amazon but with no luck. Must be sold out ?

The Leather sheath is more pleasing in My opinion and Buy the leather sheath for the larger knife and that means both will fit if You want both and I wanted both as soon as I got my first one , they are My favorite in My collection . Enjoy Yourself My Friend .

Awesome. I wanted to see a destruction test to actually see the tang inside the handle but, I couldn’t find one on TH-cam.

@@JoeDoomsday Google it to see the tang it shows you the old model which has the same tang as the new one just a different edge geometry

Hopefully someday the Finns will make a real fighting knife with a fingerguard. Also the handle material on this is too soft and will eventually separate from the tang with hard use.

The Finns usually design many of their knives without the finger guard or with a very small guard because that’s how their traditional knives have been designed for centuries. The handle is excellent. It provides excellent grip far superior to the leather & or plastic handle on say a KABAR USMC fighting knife. Nothing lasts forever. The knife is designed to function with excellence and a superior grip considering it might be soaked in blood. It is a Soldier’s Fighting Knife,… Not a bushcraft knife. Although it can perform bushcraft tasks better than other fighting knives like the KABAR fighting knives and other versions of those knives. All in all, it could use a larger finger guard. But it is so grippy your hand probably won’t slip anyhow. In my opinion, this is one of the best fighting knives ever made. It will last through the battle & it will last through the war. Long enough to serve it’s purpose, almost Perfectly.

Have used this knife for over 10 years for batonning and such and the handle hasn't failed

@@JoeDoomsday the traditional finnish puukko knife has never had a guard, or very rarely. I think you should try to get a new knife on warranty cause i have never heard a handle fail on the M95 or the M07.

If you're short on cash you can get a budget mora. A finn once said that if you can't afford a finnish knife then get a cheap swedish one.
