Looking forward to seeing more Hax$ in 2020! I didn't even know about the man until this tournament (I'm sorry I'm new!) I think 2020 is going to be an exciting year for a lot of players. Thanks for watching!
I love how all of the top foxes look perfectly optimal when they're playing well, but in their own way. E.g. Leffen, mang0, hax$. Each so different yet equally unstoppable when they're on point.
For me, that's one of the things about Melee that's just incredible for me. You can have two players play the exact same character but do so in very different ways - there's a lot of room for players to express themselves. Thanks for tuning in!
Hax has been my favorite player to watch since HMW's "WTF Hax" combo video. Nice to see a player who was top 10 almost a decade ago come back and show he's still no joke.
Personally I get a huge kick out of seeing players who have been around for a long time do well in the scene. It's like they have some sort of legacy that's to be respected. It's neat. Thanks for watching!
Early in 2019 at NChi Ultra I asked Hax what his long term goals in melee were, and he told me he still believes he can be the best in the world and that he's determined to make it there. Seeing the way he treats hbox, giving no respect to to jigglypuff and leveraging fox's advantages in the mu, I believe he has what it takes to apply his optimal playstyle and figure out any challenger. Very excited for Hax in 2020.
Same here - I'm looking forward to seeing more Hax$ in 2020. To be honest, I'm excited for 2020 in general as I just feel like it's going to be a big year for a lot of people. Thanks for tuning in!
As Hax gets better, The Boxx's legality is going to become a much bigger topic. I don't know all the intricacies of the controller, but I do know that Hax is personally balancing how good the wavedash angle is on it.
Hax wrote a manifesto of over 100 pages detailing every advantage and disadvantage it has. There will probably be more modifications to the B0XX's code in the future, as there already have been some, but imo there's no way it will be banned
Personally, I feel like Hax has consistently shown that he truly cares about the game. I don’t think there’s much solid evidence to support any suspicions of foul play on his part.
For me I'd love to know the thought process behind doing that kind of stuff - is that just instinct or a deliberate decision? I'll admit that I don't think I understand the thought process of Melee players that well, but I'm hoping that's something I can work on. Thanks for watching!
@@Frudgey yeah ever since he had some serious issues with his hand he's only been appearing at tourneys once in a blue moon, while before that he was really active. and ofc, vid was great
He knew he could be number one again but he would have to grind out all his years of tech skill on a new device, and after 6 years goddamn it he’s finally back in the upper ballpark
bro, remember the Justice 4 days against Armada in winners finals and grand finals? that was the day 20xx went from a dream to a reality. hax was shitting on him so hard
Not trying to put my boy Hax$ out there but its a lil cringy to see the commentators are trying their hardest to not say "its all because of the Smash Box" and yeah they said it sometimes but everytime he has a good play more times then not they hesitate to say its the Smash Box
I think as others as said, I don't think that the Hitbox is carrying Hax$. I think Hax$ put in a lot of time and energy into making the Hitbox work for him. Thanks for watching!
love Hax$, 2020 gonna be his year man
Pocket may 2020 be the year that saves melee

2020 = 20XX
I was thinking the same but corona
lmao

Yesss we love an independant fox player who dont need no gamecube controller
Haha. Part of the fun of watching Hax$ (at least for me) is seeing him play without the controller!
Thanks for watching!

Hax$ typing up an essay
Typing up an essay so that he can school some nerds!
Thanks for watching!
"Why I deserve to beat HBox" 😂

Everyone seems fine with it
@@rickmoranisstan give it time
Shadoninja ur not wrong. especially with other techskill foxes like Syrox switching to it

6:12 I love how he dashes back after drilling and just comes right back in with another one lmao

TØM HΛTCHER The fadeback drill in neutral is good for baiting our grabs and it can’t really be whiff punished on reaction
hax still playing at a top level despite being absent for so long shows what type of big brain player he is
Did Hax$ take a hiatus? I'm aware that he's been around for awhile, but I don't know if he took a break at all.
Thanks for tuning in!

Bro Hax$, the Keyboard Warrior
I think it's just so cool that Hax$ uses something other than a Gamecube controller and has found success with it.
Thanks for watching!
who would have thought that the first X in 20XX stood for a 2
Right? People pointed that out and I'm just like "Whoa".
Thanks for watching!
The one I've been waiting for...
Happy to deliver! Thanks for watching!
Hax about to go top 8 at Genesis. I've been following him since the boxx and he's finally playing better than pre-injuries
When did Hax get his injuries? Was this years ago?
In any event, thanks for watching the video!
He had a calcified tendon that stopped him playing back in 2015 I think. Either way, just gonna say "called it"
bro, remember the Justice 4 days against Armada in winners finals and grand finals? that was the day 20xx went from a dream to a reality. hax was shitting on him so hard
I love when HAX goes TASmode amazing plays by him
Haha "TASmode" - but yes watching Hax$ play well was a lot of fun.
Thanks for tuning in!
Hax money baby
At first I thought his name was just "Hax$", but I like calling him "Hax Money".
Thanks for watching!
hax looks like hes playing a rythm game with the boxx lol
:D
Thanks for watching the video zexer!
thanks! love it
:)
Thanks for watching!
2020 = 20XX
I never thought of it that way, but by George did you just blow my mind.
Thanks for watching!
Hax$, been a fan for a long time. Rooting for you bud. One of the cleanest Fox's out. Makes me wanna try the smashbox!
It's really cool that Hax$ has been a part of the scene for so long - I hope to see more of him in 2020!
Thanks for watching!
Hax Fucking Money
I like how that rolls off the tongue.
Thanks for watching!
MISTA AZIIIIIIZZZZZ
Inc
Thanks for watching!
The hell is he playing with
the "boxx"!
Basically an arcade stick, the "boxx" which he designed (mostly) himself specifically for melee.
Not trying to put my boy Hax$ out there but its a lil cringy to see the commentators are trying their hardest to not say "its all because of the Smash Box" and yeah they said it sometimes but everytime he has a good play more times then not they hesitate to say its the Smash Box
I feel bad saying this but it's gotta be said. Hitbox carrying hax?
Oh hell nah! Hax has been a top player way before the box, he is finally use to both the meta and his controller.
Not at all some things are easier but some are harder with the boxx
I think as others as said, I don't think that the Hitbox is carrying Hax$. I think Hax$ put in a lot of time and energy into making the Hitbox work for him.
